“This is the place you want to train, develop, and build community.I had the privilege of training here for the past few months, I have lost weight, gained endurance, improved my mindset, and built a community. Everyone in this community is very supported, new faces feel like old friends, and their attention to detail when you first start out is unparalleled.The owner Travis is extremely thorough, he is empathetic, kind, and very knowledgable. It is very obvious that he is passionate about this sport and wants to ensure that everyone stays heathy and strong. His vision for the community is carried out by the coaching team he developed.Alex: She is an amazing coach, always welcomes me by name and rememberers my strengths and weaknesses. She has great insights and recommendations on how to improve form as well as inspires motivation from the warm up through the Workout of the Day (WOD). She devotes her time before and after class to check in with members and truly takes an interest in helping them improve their heath.James: I had an opportunity to take one class with him and work beside him for two other classes. If you want to get your mindset in the right spot, take a class from James. He is a technical wizard and helped improve my form throughout warm up. He has amazing energy and its inspiring to be around someone that is so passionate about the sport.Allison: She is phenomenal, she knows how to work the whole class and is the perfect catalyst when you need to dig deep during a WOD. She gives great technical feedback and is a source of motivation throughout the class. “I joined F45 2 weeks ago in IGH after not working out in over 6 years. The staff and fellow patrons at F45 IGH have been nothing but awesome and supportive of me on my health journey and getting back into shape. They inspire and support you and push you to get better. The classes are challenging but well worth it. I would recommend anyone looking for a quick workout to get back in shape to get off your bum and sign up.”

“I reached out to Union Fitness because I wanted a place to workout at while I was in town visiting family and Jen was kind enough to set me up with a couple classes. I took a circuit style and a more strength training class, both with Joanna, who was fantastic! I get the sense that there's a strong community at Union and I felt like everyone was really kind and supportive of each other. I love all the variety they offer too. I'll definitely do some drop in classes next time I'm in town. Thanks for helping me keep up my routine on vacation!”

“This place!!!I am so glad someone convinced me to walk through the door for my free trial camp.I was tired of the same old and I love the fact that no two workouts are ever the same; there might be some similarities week to work. After all, there are only so many ways to do a burpee or a pushup, but the coaches make it fun, keep it real and press you to push yourself just a little bit further each and every time you visit. The mix of strength training and conditioning keep smy body in high gear consistently and while I do not take advantage of it, many of the friends I have no made through camp use the daily childcare service and the kids seem to enjoy the occasional weekend "kid camps" too!The FOCUS meeting concept is great because I was able to develop, in the arena of group exercise, my own individual path that the coaching team collectively helps keep me focused on.173 "camps" (as of this writing) in, I see the difference.The On-Demand camps through the App though are just as crucial (to me because I travel for work frequently) as the in-person. I am able to keep my goals, even on an off day or when I am gone. The stretching moves in the on-demand library have been extremely beneficial on recovery days; like having a "tele-coach" if you will.Hannah, Ryan, Alyssa, Julia and Sonja will make you sweat for sure!”

“I have been attending Defy workout classes for about a year and a half now. It has been a fantastic experience. The workouts are challenging and include a lot of variety - never boring.The trainers have always been extremely friendly, motivating and helpful in their instruction, making sure we use correct form, while always helping us to maximize the workout.Our current instructor, Grant, is extremely friendly, helpful and fun. I always leave feeling I had a good workout and was glad I came. It's always good to look forward to a workout rather than dreading it! Grant and the other participants are always friendly and supportive.I highly recommend the West St. Paul location, as well as the Defy class specifically.”

“Love this kickboxing-classes gym with great music during their classes! Very beginner friendly. This is the location on Selby Ave in St Paul, and it is so much fun! Every other day is weightlifting classes, and included with the membership is nutrition coaching. Incredibly positive coaches with so much experience. Classes are available Monday-Saturday in the mornings and in the late afternoon/evening. Online classes are also available. Weightlifting is with dumbbells and exercise bands, which promotes great results. No direct sparring (whew!) but rather, you often pair up and share a punching bag (often one person is punching/kicking while the other person does body-weight exercises). Lots of diversity in the classes: Black, white, hIspanic, LGBTQ+, all ages, teachers, nurses, social workers, electricians, overweight, fit…and they are incredibly open to newbies—don’t think that you have to be an amazing expert to start here. :-) They often have specials where you can get the first week free to try it out! They often have 10-week challenges (one person at the location wins $1000!) but you can join in at any time. Most people don’t wait for a challenge to start classes, they just start coming, and then join a challenge when one comes up (about four times a year). Classes are “gamified” in a really fun way that I’ve never seen before, there is email (and Facebook group) support, and everything is done to make the classes as effective, safe, fun, and supportive as possible. Wow!That’s me in the picture. You can’t really tell in the photo, but I’ve lost my Covid-gut in the 2 months I’ve been going! It’s been incredibly good for my mental health, which in turn helps me be not only more effective at work, but also be a more patient and positive family member.”

“My husband and I signed up for an unlimited membership in July and we absolutely love it. From the front desk to all the trainers, everyone in there is friendly and there’s a huge sense of community. It’s helped us accomplish our goals of springing back into fitness and becoming more active. Personally, with the cost I just think it makes more sense to do the unlimited account. There’s a fitness band you can buy to wear in class and track your zones/cals burned , I get it’s another expense but it’s totally worth it. The app is also super user friendly and easy to navigate. We also used other locations while we had our membership and feel that the Eagan location had the best set up and best customer service. Highly recommend!”

“At the age of 73, I joined F45 in Woodbury, MN.Purpose of joining has been to rebuild my muscular strength after an AFib ablation, a coronary stent implant, and a Watchman implant to allow me to go off blood thinners.I have sports oriented all my life; However, “Mother Nature” always has a different plan.I spend my time at F45 focused weight and strength training. My coaches, Shari and Nate, keep me focused, and make sure I am using the correct techniques and form. Granted, at 73, I don’t worry about style points… but I get a great workout, I have met some nice people, and I work on getting in shape with 36 sets of exercise in a 45 minute, session. ??”

“I highly recommend trying Pilates by Norma Jean Kelly. She is caring, enthusiastic, dedicated and makes working out feel fun! She's friendly, personable, and gets excited with me as I progress in my skills. Norma Jean is exceptionally patient. When I ask a lot of questions she explains everything thoroughly. I had worked with other trainers and Norma Jean outclasses them all. My sessions with Norma Jean have become a highlight of my week since the pandemic and she continues to be a strong supporter of my well being. My mood, strength, endurance, and balance have improved. She has also helped me deal with a past injury. Plus, I've lost 10 lbs and have kept it off after almost a year. Norma Jean is an outstanding Pilates instructor!”

“I've been going to CrossFit Woodbury for over 4 years now. I have trained at chain gyms, martial arts studios, and experimented with purchasing home equipment in the past. I haven't ever experienced the sense of community or had instructors as knowledgeable anywhere else.The gym has enough space, the equipment is not only sound, but also there is enough of it. The support group of people that train here including the coach, Matt, and the community really make it easy to get myself to the gym after work! I have yet to experience a place like this that actually makes me feel like they care about my goals, wellbeing, and overall satisfaction with the training I am receiving. I feel as though I am not just another person to make money off of.I would hands down recommend this gym to anyone looking to lose weight, get stronger, train for a specific sport, or make the transition to CrossFit like I did. “Very nice dog park. Large space. Also has a separate fenced area for smaller dogs. I've not really found parking to be an issue. Yes, sometimes it can get crowded in the lot but there's always parking on the gravel road nearby or even in the grass. Porta potty on site. No toys, food or kids under 8 allowed- for safety. Closes at dusk. Running drinking water for dogs in summer months. In between a railroad track and the compost site. So can be a bit noisy. But it is completely fenced all the way around. My dog loves this place.Dog-friendliness: It's a dog park. Of course it's dog friendly.”

“Shout out to Zack for being available for questions!This tucked away gym was surprisingly spacious with a variety of equipment. The showers were some of the only really handicapable I've seen with decent pressure. ?This is also the only gym I've seen with a tanning bed, according to staff "I believe that's for home gym members only, though if you speak to the manager that might be able to arranged."This gym is proof you can put an Anytime, anyplace.”

“I thought I was in pretty good shape before I joined CFE. I’m a former athlete and I had been doing lots of weights and cardio. Holy smokes - CFE took my health and well-being to another level. Physical, socially, mentally, etc.There were former athletes like myself, there were younger folks, older folks, people new to fitness, but the one thing everyone had in common was caring about each other and encouraging each other. The owners and coaches are 10/10 people who care about you a million times more than they care about themselves. Give it a shot and you’ll feel so dang good about yourself.”

“I love group fitness, and have attended thousands of classes at dozens of studios with many instructors over the last 20+ years, and Tanya has stood out as my favorite.  I took Pilates with her for about 5 years before she opened her own studio -- Bodyshop.  This one-stop Bodyshop is a dream come true, with a huge variety of classes, workouts, and equipment.  You get the kind of individual attention as from a personal trainer, but in a more affordable and approachable setting.  Tanya has continuously pushed and challenged me while maintaining a light-hearted and fun atmosphere.  Check out this woman-owned independent business.  No matter your fitness level, you will get a great workout and you won't regret it!”
