“Our daughter lives nearby and I stop at St Anthony when I come to visit. Great selection of everything especially the NA beers. The staff is really friendly and helpful.”
“This place is awesome. As someone who has far too long used alcohol to help wind down at the end of evenings, I’m searching for a replacement of that ritual. They have so many great options for this. Erin the owner is super friendly and helpful and got me set up. I’ll be back!”
“Have been here a few times to help friends find drinks and the staff are so kind and friendly. They have a nice variety of options of drinks and are very helpful if you have questions. I will definitely be swinging by again next time I’m in the area!”
“Incredible bottle shop. excellently curated beer, wine, spirits, and cordials. Great prices, super friendly and engaging staff that will help you figure out what you need. Beer/wine/cocktail nerds all around. Friday tastings are the best”
“They have the COOLEST selection of NA drinks, and functional mocktails. I love the vibe in the store and the staff are so educated on mixology, mushrooms, the most effective use/dose of CBD. I love love love this place!”
“The folks at Thomas Liquors helped me deliver Perseco and a Pinot Noir to my daughter and son-in-love for their 22nd Anniversary. They chilled the sparkly and it arrived in time for celebration!!
Their service cannot be beat!”
“Seriously the best service I've ever gotten at a liquor store. Staff are all so friendly, knowledgeable, and will give suggestions that make sense for what you're trying to drink at home. I'm usually making cocktails, and I've been recommended everything between $20 and $60 bottles and told why it's worth/not worth going will the more expensive option when appropriate”
“Absolutely the Best Liquor Store in Town!
Ombibulous is a hidden gem and an absolute must-visit if you’re looking for great selection, fair prices, and genuinely amazing customer service.
They’ve even made a few recommendations that turned into my all-time favorites.
Their selection is outstanding—craft beers, fine wines, rare bourbons, locally made spirits, mixers, and even a few unexpected finds you won’t see in big chain stores.
What really sets ombibulous apart is the personal touch. It’s clear they care about their community and the people they serve.
Support local—skip the chain store and check this place out. You won’t be disappointed. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!”
“One of the friendliest little liquor places I’ve been to in the Twin Cities. Dude behind the counter always makes me laugh, solid selection, and reasonable prices. Love the location, too.”
“I never understood the popularity of Trader Joe’s until moving next door to one. Limited selection, but isn’t that part of the appeal? Great seasonality of products offered and high quality too. Very convenient location for me and I can’t stop popping in just to see what new things they might have.”
“I don't even drink wine, and love walking through this place. It's like walking through a sweet rainfall, and the displays are masterfully crafted. If you drink wine or beer, or just want to enjoy the intoxicating beauty and aroma of this venue, stop in today...and return often.”
“I stopped in today to try their sandwiches, and I loved just about everything this place had to offer. They have indoor/outdoor seating, a convenient water station, plenty of free parking, a great vibe, super clean bathrooms, and a rockin deli with sandwiches, various cheeses, sides, tiramisu and more! It has an upscale look and feel but it isn’t going to break the bank if you’re grabbing a bite to eat. It is also fairly spacious, and I loved the high ceilings in the deli section. Honestly, it isn’t a place I would’ve initially expected the Twin Cities area to have as it stands out from a lot of other places.
As for my sandwich, I ordered the Italian Hero. This was a little bit of a spin on a traditional Italian Hero since this one came with tapenade and pickled red onions. The flavors were pretty exceptional, the lettuce was dressed well with oil/vinegar and the portions were decent. There was also a pleasant mild kick which could've been from something like spicy soppressata or a hot pepper spread. They didn't go into detail on everything that was in the sandwich so I'm just guessing!
The sandwich was overflowing a bit the way it was prepared so I feel like this could use some work. It could've also used just a little more meat. However, my only real gripe would be that the seeded roll was a little stale and dry. I think the bread can sometimes make or break a sandwich so this was a bit of a let down. If they can improve the bread quality, I would say it could go head to head with some sandwiches I have had out on the east coast.
Someone reviewed the Italian Hero a year ago and that photo should be used as the reference for making this sandwich. The preparation and meat to veggie ratios looked excellent. If they could replicate that again, I'm sold. The seeded roll also looked way better at that time. Either way, I will probably give them another shot in the future since the Prosciutto and Smoked Turkey sandwiches looked very appealing and it's apparent they are striving to offer a good experience.”
“Owner Matt is there weekdays and even after moving out of the Longfellow neighborhood years ago. He came from the back and greeted me by name and it made my day. Thanks Matt. Good to see you again.”

“This store is good for daily use of alcohol and very good prices, i love this place, and once you register yourself, they have a points system also so that you can redeem your points in future love this,”
“Got the club sandwich and for sure was a bit surprised at the smallish size but every ingredient was such high quality that it is worth it. Some of the best tasting turkey I’ve ever had. Baguette is very crunchy and delicious. Yum, want to try them all!”
“What a hidden GEM! I have driven by this place so many times just assuming it was a liquor store, which it is of course, but there's also a fantastic deli inside! I tried the Cuban sandwich and it is really well done. All of the ingredients are high quality and well distributed throughout the sandwich ( essential for a good Cuban! ). I can't wait to find an excuse to try my next sandwich!!”

“I recently hurt my back and the gentleman that were working. Walked my items out to the car. Awesome amazing. Shivery didn’t realize it still existed. Grateful I am so grateful.”
“It may take a little bit of hunting because it is not quite organized in the way most stores are. However, I've found some really nice, reasonably priced whiskeys there and the family that owns the store are really wonderful people.”
“I purchase a beverage all liquor stores carry, and also live walking distance to a different liquor store. However, I choose to drive the extra distance to Down Under. Why? Customer service, which is the product stores don’t have to deliver, but Down Under delivers every time! Support your local businesses and stop into Down Under!”
“Great place for cheap single shooters and competitive prices on beer. Price is better than most liquor in a 5mile radius imo. Thanks for re-opening and keeping original prices on your product.”
“Stopped in after having breakfast at The French Hen across the street realizing they were the wine shop I had been following on Facebook and wanted to attend a Fri tasting . To my happiness they carry a wine I’ve been trying to find for over 2 years. Very helpful friendly staff maybe owner helped my friend learn about some things they also carry and how to make some choices.we will be back often, New wine shop”
“Didn't go here but they let me and my 6 grandkids stand in the store till our Uber arrived because it was too cold, so thank you for that kindness you showed us”
“TALK ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND A SMILE!!! WOW, i had never been to this liq. store and so I went in I didn’t know where the little cooler full of the frozen drink pouches were and had to ask.. the KINDEST gentleman walked me to where the cooler was, and once we got there and I opened it up, he asked what flavor I was looking for & then even OFFERED TO DIG THROUGH THE COOLER FOR ME SO I WOULDNT BREAK A NAIL!!!!! Where do you even find someone that nice?! (I never got his name, but he knows who he is!) I mean, that’s absolutely winning at customer service & made my absolute day. Mickys may not be my closest liquor store, but now it is 100% hands down without a doubt my favorite.”
“It's a legendary liquor store across from the midtown global market.
Prices are on point for in the city.
And I've been going here so long, everyone seems to know me, and it's just a nice experience almost every time.”
“I can’t say enough good things about this place!! I have been a regular there for the past year and a half since moving to the area and have no reason to wish to go anywhere else. The staff regularly provide excellent guidance when I’m looking for something new to try. All of the cashiers are very nice and personable.
I have had especially great experiences with a woman who was very knowledgeable in tequila and talks as if she is a manager/owner.
Their loyalty program is another highlight for me”
“Great selection of wines and a nice walk-in cooler for beers (local/16oz options are plentiful). I've found many wines that I've loved and there's always a nice range of prices so I can find something for everyday or special occasions. They also have a very generous selection of THC seltzers.
I love stopping by on Friday after work for the tastings. It's a treat on my way home and I always find something new.”
“Nice hiding spot for some bourbon, they do have Eagle Rare but does come with a high price. Able to find several bottles at msrp that I picked up! Definitely will be back”
“Wife and I were up in MN for a wedding and I wanted to take home some local beer. The woman at the counter was very nice and helpful, and gave us a few good suggestions. Good selection of beer, too.”
“Dog friendly and tastings most weekends. A wide selection of mn made beer, wine and spirits. This municipality store also provides a greater selection of spirits, beer and wine from all over the USA.”
