This is a great antique store with two levels packed full of unique finds. Prices are good and customer service is even better. Top three best antique stores I've been to!

Ive been coming here for years and have always had amazing experience. yes there is a lot of stuff but i enjoy diving for my treasure. i also don't think it is fair to judge a building if there is not air conditioning since it's in an older part of Stillwater.

Negative reviews aside, we came here and had a pleasant experience. I don't know if it was the owner or manager who checked us out, but he was nice to talk to. We ended up leaving with several goodies.

The American Gothic Antiques Store is a must visit for my daughter and me whenever we visit Stillwater! It is located right in the center of the charming town of Stillwater at 236 Main Street South. They are packed with very reasonably priced merchandise. I’ve purchased many items from them over the years including hand school bells and dishes. My daughter has purchased a number of pieces of framed artwork. Be sure to also look upstairs.

I thought the service was very friendly and accommodating. The gentlemen reached everything I needed him to. Everything was very affordable too! Loved the Christmas selection.

They would not allow us in if we did not receive the Covid vaccination. So rude, nasty people.

Should not have a sign that says all are welcome because all are certainly not. I am partially mobile and we attempted to bring my wheelchair into the shop. Owners were incredibly rude and demanded "tell me about that chair", would not let me leave it in a corner so I didn't have to leave it unattended out on the sidewalk, but would not let us push it around the store as we shopped. I am not entitled to explain specifics of my disability to ANYONE and baby strollers were being pushed around the store I don't see why a person in a wheelchair couldn't be pushed around. Being partially mobile does not obligate me to walk instead of use my chair.

We went into this store today even though I had read the vast number of scathing reviews. There were four workers in the store, and each one welcomed us and was friendly as we shopped. I think the dealers are probably from the "old days" in that they haven't altered their prices to reflect current (lower) demand.

The 2 older ladies at the counter immediately confronted us about having 2 wheelchairs with disabled persons in them. They refused to allow the disabled people shop in the store using their wheelchairs and rudely told us the disabled parties could sit in a chair at the front of the store and wait for the non-disabled people in our group. This type of behavior is absurd, rude and disrespectful. They really need to take down their “all are welcome” sign

I enjoyed looking around this antique shop. There is so many things to see. The moment you think you found the end, you find another corner of items to look through. I love how big the section of books is.

The items are priced mid-high like the other surrounding shops in Stillwater and Hudson area. Limited items and it’s a lot of digging around for gold, when compared to the surrounding shops.I will never go back or suggest based on treatment and general vibe. They freaked out when I tried to take a photo of something before purchasing? It is relatively normal for married couples to discuss things when purchasing over $200. I’ve never had an issue before with a store in my life. They did follow me closer than they did other patrons. There was a significant difference in the treatment I received vs other customers.I suggest that they make moves to provide all clientele the same curtesy conversation to all customers. This lack of moral value and acknowledgement of human dignity is really sickening to experience.

Im 6 months pregnant and wabbled my way around. The man at the register was extremely rude. Was trying to purchase something for my 2 little girls(ty babies). Will never go back there and do not reccomend anyone else spend there money there for the sole purpose of how they treat people.
