“I have been working out at Tiger Training for the last three months and my experience has been great. Sarah is really passionate about what she does and she really care about her clients. I have been learning a lot about science behind fitness routine/workouts from her and I have been applying that knowledge to develop fitness programs for Cricket players. She does a great job with following up with you to make sure you are putting the work outside the gym also. I highly recommend Tiger Training and Family Fitness.”

“I’m not one to review many things, and when I do it’s truly for some place special. I credit Timberwolf CrossFit for helping me get my quality of life back I trusted and true ways! I started in December and was on several blood pressure medications, and the future felt bleak. After finding some consistency at Timberwolf, my blood pressure is in the normal range after trying all the things! My weight is down 30lbs. And my anxiety is feeling better. I attribute it to the caring community that is Timberwolf. The friendly coaches that care about your goals and successes, the other members that cheer you on as you finish a hard workout. It truly is a gym like no other.”

“Love this kickboxing-classes gym with great music during their classes! Very beginner friendly. This is the location on Selby Ave in St Paul, and it is so much fun! Every other day is weightlifting classes, and included with the membership is nutrition coaching. Incredibly positive coaches with so much experience. Classes are available Monday-Saturday in the mornings and in the late afternoon/evening. Online classes are also available. Weightlifting is with dumbbells and exercise bands, which promotes great results. No direct sparring (whew!) but rather, you often pair up and share a punching bag (often one person is punching/kicking while the other person does body-weight exercises). Lots of diversity in the classes: Black, white, hIspanic, LGBTQ+, all ages, teachers, nurses, social workers, electricians, overweight, fit…and they are incredibly open to newbies—don’t think that you have to be an amazing expert to start here. :-) They often have specials where you can get the first week free to try it out! They often have 10-week challenges (one person at the location wins $1000!) but you can join in at any time. Most people don’t wait for a challenge to start classes, they just start coming, and then join a challenge when one comes up (about four times a year). Classes are “gamified” in a really fun way that I’ve never seen before, there is email (and Facebook group) support, and everything is done to make the classes as effective, safe, fun, and supportive as possible. Wow!That’s me in the picture. You can’t really tell in the photo, but I’ve lost my Covid-gut in the 2 months I’ve been going! It’s been incredibly good for my mental health, which in turn helps me be not only more effective at work, but also be a more patient and positive family member.”

I’ve a bit out of shape and needed to scale the hell out of the workout; coaches were supportive and kind. Highly recommended. I’ll be back!”

I've been to many Anytime Fitness around the metro and sometimes these bigger gym are always so busy. Nothing like this gym, go in, grind hard, secretly flex, and eat some tacos next door.”

“I highly recommend trying Pilates by Norma Jean Kelly. She is caring, enthusiastic, dedicated and makes working out feel fun! She's friendly, personable, and gets excited with me as I progress in my skills. Norma Jean is exceptionally patient. When I ask a lot of questions she explains everything thoroughly. I had worked with other trainers and Norma Jean outclasses them all. My sessions with Norma Jean have become a highlight of my week since the pandemic and she continues to be a strong supporter of my well being. My mood, strength, endurance, and balance have improved. “If you've ever wanted to try Crossfit, but you have been too intimidated, look no further than the Power House! This isn't your typical crossfit gym (dirty warehouse, grunting with shirts off, etc).The classes are small and extremely approachable. The coaches are excellent and will help you modify the workout to meet your abilities. They also offer olympic lifting, yoga, mobility, and personal training. “Austin was a personal trainer of mine in the past, and will always be a friend. He knew my weaknesses and knew my strengths at the time he taught me. He catered to both and made me the best of myself I can be. Always telling me “don’t think, just do”. Nike, essentially. This motivating has put his own time and effort towards me, and I appreciate that to the fullest. He certainly puts his clients needs/wants to his top priority after his family and he’s very passionate to your success before his. His wife, Sam, is also an extremely motivating partner. “I've been a member since May 2021 and love working out at this gym! The first year I learned that "scaling is cool", weightlifting is great (didn't have barbell experience), and cross training really helps with other life activities like half marathons, rock climbing, general fitness, & acceptable caloric intake. The second year I challenged myself to get stronger and faster. And now in year 3, my coaches are encouraging me to work on more challenging movements and helping me improve my technique. They truely want you to "get better" every day and meet you where you are at. The best part about this gym is the community membership - from social outings to workout encouragement, this group of people is what makes the gym home. The showers were some of the only really handicapable I've seen with decent pressure. ?This is also the only gym I've seen with a tanning bed, according to staff "I believe that's for home gym members only, though if you speak to the manager that might be able to arranged."This gym is proof you can put an Anytime, anyplace.”

“The Staff was super friendly and positive, kids had a great experience doing the Athlete Evaluation. You can tell the staff like working with kids. A little out of my price range, but if it can help improve my kiddos strengths and weaknesses while being motivated and healthy, we will try for a few months. The location was kind of hidden, the facility was nice, and surprisingly smelled good.”

“I love group fitness, and have attended thousands of classes at dozens of studios with many instructors over the last 20+ years, and Tanya has stood out as my favorite.  I took Pilates with her for about 5 years before she opened her own studio -- Bodyshop.  This one-stop Bodyshop is a dream come true, with a huge variety of classes, workouts, and equipment.  You get the kind of individual attention as from a personal trainer, but in a more affordable and approachable setting.  Tanya has continuously pushed and challenged me while maintaining a light-hearted and fun atmosphere.  Check out this woman-owned independent business.  No matter your fitness level, you will get a great workout and you won't regret it!”
