“Only sorry that I didn't take pictures. This place is the best resort ever, we stayed here in the campground, sites are perfectly level, clean, nice concrete patios with beautiful lawns around them and evertything works, the grounds are perfectly kept. The shower house is pure luxury; it's spacious, super clean and the showers are pure luxury. The women that checked us in was welcoming and very gracious, thank you for a wonderful experience.”

“Absolutely love this place. It feels like I am in my own living room with the country setting and fireplace. Chelsey and the staff are always so friendly and welcoming. I have been staying here for archery deer season and in the spring time since 2020 an have not had a bad experience yet. Keep up the great hospitality!”

“Me and my SO stayed a couple nights in the Pepin room for a family wedding at the local winery. Not only was our stay comfy, clean, and quiet, but also very relaxing with the private balcony and sooo soft bed. If we ever find ourselves planning a getaway weekend in the area once more, I would definitely want to stay here again.Nearby activities: There are lovely restaurants and cafes within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. “This was the most unique hotel stay ever (in a good way)! I had read some of the reviews and seen pictures, so we had an idea of what to expect - but we were still wonderfully surprised! Most of the times we have stayed in hotels, it has been the big chain ones. You know what to expect and usually a pretty safe choice. We wanted to explore this small town of Alma we had passed through many times before, and decided it might be fun to take a chance on a local hotel and maximize our time in Alma. I am so glad we did - I can't say enough good things! We stayed in the Lincoln room, which was so great. We were able to pick which room we wanted out of which were available - and that in itself was amazing! It was hard to choose (but fun) since each room was completely unique and very cool. Also very clean, and very comfortable. We are already excited to stay again and pick out one of the other incredible rooms. (The town of Alma itself was so fun to explore as well!) Enjoying pizza while sitting under the pergola looking out on the Mississippi was a perfect dining experience! Dirk and Jeff (hope I spelled correctly) were so helpful - they went out of their way to answer any questions and make us feel completely welcome! They made the whole experience even better! Way exceeded all my expectations! I will mention the train that runs by is not too quiet, so if you require silence that is something to consider. We were fairly warned about that, and for me that was definitely not a deal-breaker.

Rooms: Amazing, unique, very clean and comfortable! Each room was seemed nice and private, and all had views to the river.

Safety: Felt completely safe here!

Food and drinks: Pizza at the pizzeria was great! Drink options were great too. Ice cream and coffee at Fire and Ice was wonderful, as was the service at both places!”

We stayed in room #7.The prosIt was clean and well maintained. Beds were comfortable, shower had adaquit pressure and water flow.The negativeTV was to small and had a lack of volume.No big dealToilet rocked a little, probably just needs a new wax ring. No big dealThey have cats in their main living area and yes the office smells of cats.
