Nice display of series memorabilia and the curator was quite knowledgeable.

Super fun museum to take the kids to. They had a play room in “Grandma’s Attic” and several neat props from the Tv series. I enjoyed having period items placed through the museum. Lots of books. Not a lot of "stuff". There is what appears to be a 1/2 replica of the TV Ingalls' house built next to museum. It's a cute photo op.
Buildings closed November 1-April 1. Family entertainment and education for all! Our museum includes 8 buildings for a self guided, kid friendly experience.
Learn about Laura's family history in Walnut Grove (there is a lot more than you think!) Sit in a Dugout and imagine a Minnesota Winter! Play games and dress up in Grandma's Attic. See a store building that Pa built in 1877 (Hint: Laura won her Bible upstairs in this building in 1878!) Play in our General Store, Post Office, and Bank. See artifacts, props, and costumes from the TV series, including Pa's Fiddle and Mr. Edwards' hat and boots! And much, much more!
Please note that the museum buildings are open from April 1 through Oct 31. The Gift Store is open year round.
