Nice display of series memorabilia and the curator was quite knowledgeable.

Super fun museum to take the kids to. They had a play room in “Grandma’s Attic” and several neat props from the Tv series. I enjoyed having period items placed through the museum. We spent over an hour at the museum. The gift shop had several neat items. I picked up a locally made Christmas ornament, a shirt, and candy for the kids.

Just okay...we went quite a bit out of the way to see this and was disappointed by how little there was that directly about her and the little house show. The museum had a good bit about her to read and look at but the buildings were less interesting. If you are nearby, sure, check it out. Don't make a day trip.I have a hunch that the LIW event in July might be pretty good???

Lots of books. Not a lot of "stuff". There is what appears to be a 1/2 replica of the TV Ingalls' house built next to museum. It's a cute photo op.

A cute museum with prairie-era memorabilia as well as from the TV series. Would be a wonderful place to bring children after reading them Laura Ingall Wilder's books. If you drive out of town to see the Wilder's Dug out home, you'll see the depression in the ground where their home once stood, not the actual home. Be prepared to use your imagination! Beautiful restored prairie at the dug out site. Cost is $7 per car.

I called before we left Texas to see if we could carry our little Yorkie while touring, but never got a courtesy call returned. If you have a dog, you won't be able to go in. I went in, but my husband had to sit outside, which made me unable to view it as I normally would. The day before, we went to her other homestead in Independence, Kansas and was welcome as long as she was on a leash and carried. Really, the one in Kansas gave a lot of interesting information and the staff was a lot friendlier. Don't waste your time if you have a dog! The museum was OK, but not that great!

Nice, but two shops were being worked on. Prices were a little high, but nice. The only problem is "Nellie's", was closed, new owners. I surely the food is good, nice of the owners to let us they have a buffet.

I had forgotten about Walnut Grove and Little House on the Prairie. A co-worker and I were on a week-long business trip along southern Minnesota. Day three randomly took us through Walnut Grove. I had not paid attention to where Google Maps was taking us. As we entered the town, my memory clicked and we pulled over. It's literally been decades since I have watched any episodes. Thanks for the memories. Money well spent.

The gift shop is fantastic and reasonably priced. The management/ staff are friendly and we so enjoyed chatting with them! I loved walking through each building seeing each artifact and learning more about those prarie days. We enjoyed the exhibits and took loads of pictures. I would love to return someday for all the other prairie events this town has to offer!

It’s a must have for fans of the books. I loved the history and stories and how they pulled items from the books. Though it’s been 40 years plus since I read them they brought back memories of reading as a child. I just wished they had more of Laura’s stuff. But they do at least have replicas of the important things. Great stop.

Cute place to tour for us and our kids after reading the books. It seemed to be geared more toward adults, but our kids still really enjoyed it.Afterwards you can go across the street to Nellie's Cafe for a small town diner. Bring cash or plan on walking to the ATM. The staff was very friendly.

If you go there in hopes of seeing everything that you saw on the TV show you will be a little bit disappointed However as most people know the TV show is just Hollywood's version of "" little house on the prairie This museum shows you the truth to life people and you can learn about them and their experiences There are also other exhibits to see as well

As a kid watching the show I fell in love with simpler time, the kindness of the characters and the strength of hard times. Can't say I understood it that way back than...but we do need that practice in current times. Was there for 1 1/2 hours. Enjoyed every minute
