“I went to this store looking for help as I transitioned from Verizon to another carrier. An associate spent almost an hour with me solving a cellular number release problem involving a consultation with an off site technician. Even though this store is not owned by Verizon the staff stepped-up and helped. Five Stars with no hesitation.”
“Brody was fantastic ! I called inquiring about home internet and within a 10 min drive and another 10 min at the store - BOOM ! I had it. Highly recommended if you need easy home wifi
Thanks Brody”
“The main motivation and reason behind leaving this review is because we had the absolute BEST tech named Ryan come out to our place. This shout-out is for him because he deserves all the kudos he can get! He was professional, knowledgeable, sincere, and meticulous. He turned our overall experience from what could have been extremely negative into a positive one. The overall rating is not applicable to Ryan. He gets 5 stars! 6 if i could!
Long story short, sale guy came and knocked at our door. We've been considering HBC for a while because of the positive reviews. We decided to take advantage of the promotion and schedule installation.
Installation guy quickly installed the router in the unfinished room in our basement (versus installing it on the main level where our current Xfinity router is located) and called it good.
No one communicated to us or asked us about burying the line outside. Over the next few days, a 3rd party company came out to mark the line and told us another one would come out and bury the line.
After the router was installed we weren't getting strong internet connection upstairs so I scheduled a tech to come out and relocate the router to the main level. That's when Ryan came out. He was extremely meticulous, honest, and informative in everything he shared with us. He took the time to listen to us, addressed all of our questions/concerns, and ensured we were satisfied with the services he provided.
While he was here he noticed the guys marking the line to be buried outside and asked us if we knew it cost $300 to have the line buried. Our jaw dropped because we were clueless. We just thought it was included in the installation process. Ryan made a call to his construction manager informing him of this and due to Ryan being proactive, this was caught before any digging was done. We chased off the guys and told them we didn't need the line buried anymore.
He saved us $300!!! Can you imagine receiving a surprise bill for $300?! Ryan's knowledge and expertise got our internet working as it should and he relocated everything to where it was practical and not a tripping hazard (compared to the installation guy who installed the router using an extension cord that went across the room and putting everything on top of our mini fridge for us to figure out moving later). He also noted to have someone call us to schedule the exterior line be connected aerial.
We couldn't have been more happy with the services Ryan provided. It's rare you meet someone in this field who is downright a good human being with honesty, integrity, thoughtfulness and kindness. It's apparent he's a great problem solver and knowledgeable as he was swift and efficient in the work he performed resolving our issues and preventing potential future problems. He exceeded our expectations. Huge thanks to Ryan!!!
Aside from how awesome Ryan was, overall, I do recommend HBC for internet as it seems to be significantly performing better than Xfinity so far. I WFH and haven't had any issues yet. The promotion price is really a steal deal.
I would recommend researching your area to find out if the line would be run aerial or underground. It was disappointing because we asked so many questions through out the whole installation process with different HBC employees and still weren't made aware of the charge associated with the line being buried so be cautious.
As with any service, there are people who just do the bare minimum in their jobs and it's unfortunate. Hard lesson learned for me was taking/following advice from an installation guy about wifi. Do your research and if something feels off, act on it.”
“Over the past week we had spent many hours in store and online with customer service trying to root out the answer to a problem we were having with our “perks” from a phone purchase. Not one person was able to fix the issue. Courtney provided the best understanding, skill, and service, resulting in the issue being resolved in less than one hour. Grateful to her specifically, but not to Verizon in general.”
“These guys were GREAT!! I had called spectrum corporate because of a bill increase I didn't understand, and that person was talking in circles without giving any information that I literally said to the man, congratulations....you made this so frustrating that I'd rather just pay the $20 than deal with him anymore. I had to go to the local store to return a modem after an upgrade and they (wish I knew who helped me), took the modem return, upgraded my router AND when I asked him about my bill, took 5 minutes and found a plan that was actually less than my bill before the increase!!! For an industry that limit customer options for a service that is now practically essential, I will never call corporate again. I will get in the car and drive to the store just to work with these guys. Can't say enough good things about them!!!!”
“I have been with Verizon for many years and this is the best service I have ever had. Ron took his time explaining everything to me to where I could actually understand what was going on. Very personable, patient and understanding. I came out of there feeling much better than when I went in! Please Verizon, do NOT let Ron go!”
