No WiFi (for quite a while now, apparently), so many educational/reference books out of stock, and bathrooms gross/smell awful.ETA- employees are amazing; this review is a reflection of the store itself

Kiely is fantastic! Super knowledgeable and personable. A great salesman too, she helped us find all the books we needed. Definitely some managerial material!

I remember when I used to have more time, was unstressed and unbothered. I used to browse the aisles of books for hours. Have a cup of coffee, scone or muffin and just BE (if you know what I mean) Life rarely offers me an opportunity to go anymore, but for those that do.. If they don’t have what you are looking for they will order it. My daughter enjoys it as well. The atmosphere is inviting, a little slice of heaven for a bookworm!

Shopped with my daughter and granddaughter and was quite happily surprised.Zach, the associate, was awesome. His knowledge and pride of the Books-A-Million branding, in-store and online, made me want to either hire on or buy all the books I've ever wanted to read at once. And my daughter was the actual customer.Give the guy a raise. And promote him to a regional position...he should be training all of your associates on customer etiquette, brand promotion/marketing, and overall inventory knowledge.Than you Zach, for a wonderful Books-A-Million experience!JW

I love BAM! I hope this helps the management of the Hattiesburg location escalate the issue with upper management. The employees work hard with a smile to serve customers and make the company a profit. The least you could do is FIX THE AIR CONDITIONER ASAP. There is no excuse for the air to be out for more than a week.

We ordered a Bible online at the Hattiesburg store. I used a $75.00 reloadable credit card then finished the purchase w/a gift card from BAM because the clerk didn't know how to use my credit card. Almost $100.00. Was told if it was not as expected to return it to store. The clerk ask if I would like him to throw both cards away since they were empty so I said yes. We returned the book and the clerk had a problem doing the return said she didn't have the #'s she needed, even with my receipt and the receipt in the shipping box. so she ask for the card we paid with. Well those were trashed. We had to take a gift card for $86.00. We don't buy books. I won't make that mistake again because I won't shop there anymore and will tell others of my experience.
