After seeing all of the reviews, I have to say, I was a bit nervous to rent from this location. Not many options in Hattiesburg, so I kept my reservation. I picked up my car today and have ZERO issues/complaints. The lady who helped me was very polite and pleasant, the car was clean and a nicer car than what I even reserved.I’ll be retuning the car in Biloxi. Hopefully the return is as easy and painless as the pickup.

Corporate and their IT need to take accountability and let some people go. It is not this locations fault to be clear.I booked a reservation for a moving Truck 2 months in advance. I received confirmation emails plus up sell emails asking me to buy insurance and other items for my move.Fast forward to 50 hours before my pick up, I get a call from Budget Truck Inventory Mgmnt at 0745. They tell me the location I chose using their website in Hattiesburg does NOT rent trucks. Closest location is in Mobile, Alabama (90+ miles away). They give me a choice, cancel and find a competitor or drive to Mobile to pick up the rental. Not knowing if Uhaul had anything available on such a short time frame, I asked them to book the truck in Mobile.I then drove to the local Uhaul and thankfully they had a truck which I reserved. I then looked at what Budget reserved for me. The price was double the original amount of the Hattiesburg rental and I had a 350 miles limit. Driving to Mobile and back is 180miles, and my move is 250miles for a total of 430miles with NO buffer. What a RAW deal - 4 hour round trip to pick up the truck, gas costs, not enough mileage and this is all Budget's fault.I kept my Uhaul reservation and cancelled the Budget Reservation. They have lost a customer for life. It's just unfathomable to me that their website, Customer support, Inventory management can't fix this. Other reviews mention the same issue. I wonder how many other people got screwed. Mind you I booked this 2 months in advance.The irony is when I went to the Hattiesburg location to personally speak to someone to understand, someone returned a 16' Truck which is exactly what I reserved.....

It says budget truck rental online, so I naturally thought I could return my budget truck I had rented. Nope. Waisted 2 hours of my time and now I have to do another 3 hours of driving to another location. They dont have many locations.

Well I just don’t like to give bad reviews because the customer service was great! But my rental car had dog hair all in it I had to vacuum it out to keep it off of my clothes but other than that it was affordable and like I said customer service was great!

First truck we rented was dirty not cleaned properly and had pet hair everywhere and the trunk was hit before and had low tire pressure. Second truck we got engine light popped on while driving, truck cut off multiple times in the middle of the highway and we liked to got hit. I would not recommend this place!

Would give Negative stars if possible, DO NOT RENT VEHICLES HERE! Rented a vehicle for a week earlier this year, returned on time, and months later they are threatening to file a police report because "they can't show where we returned the vehicle" absolutely SORRY company.

Pretty busy late in the day, yet staff were quite pleasant and top notch employees. Candidly, the printer sounds like a dinosaur. T-Regardless, recommend!!!

I am disappointed with the service and experience at this facility. Being a 3 year car rental branch manager it was sad to see. Customers waiting for rentals, one guy washing cars as hard as he can. And his teammate sitting inside allowing the cars and customers to pile up. This is very disheartening to have to wait for a car that could be cleaned with just a little help from a teammate.Please contact me if you need operations assistance.

My experience with the Hattiesburg location was HORRIBLE. My husband reserved a car 1 month in advance and NO CAR WAS AVAILABLE on that date. I asked the Manager for her supervisors phone number and she said the there was no-one over her. She was the most rude and unprofessional individual that I've ever met. I feel that this girl is a liability to the company as she told me that she ran a credit report on me however, she did not have social security number so that's not possible. Additionally, it's illegal to run a credit report on anyone without an authorization form. Budget/Avis wake up. Look at the reviews. Do you really want a manager with multiple complaints running your business. Word of mouth is you best or worst form of advertisement.

Worst car rental service that has ever existed!! The manger of the Hattiesburg Ms office is rude and very unprofessional! Calling the 1-800 number to speak to a customer service representative is no better they are just as rude and unprofessional they put me on hold for over 15 minutes then proceeded to hang up on me!

The lady I spoke with was very rude , I spoke to her a week ahead to reserve the vehicle I told her the card I had , and had to call back 3 times because she gave me no conformation she didn’t ask for my email and just kept hanging up she finally got the info and did my reservation, on the day to pickup I arrived 8:58 the door was locked I stood outside until 9:05 just waiting, she had came and unlocked the door and never said we are here or open or anything I walked back up to pull the door and saw it was open. After all that I waited for service patiently finally she comes in with an attitude asking do I have a reservation didn’t speak or anything , ask for my card and I.d and the told me “ oh we don’t take these

Wish there was a negative star option. Listen to the all the negative reviews and please RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS PLACE!! Absolute worst customer service I've ever received at the Hattiesburg, MS location. It would be a gross understatement to say that the woman working the counter was RUDE and has NO people skills. She was far more worried about dealing with what appeared to be her almost grown child than in waiting on customers. I can't believe she ever even got hired to do any job dealing with the public. Matter of fact, I can't believe she ever got hired for any job period with her horrible attitude, don't see how she made it through an interview. I arrived to pick up the car I had reserved and PAID for a month earlier. The woman acted as though it killed her to even wait on me, stood and looked at me and didn't even speak so I finally told her I was there to pick up my car and was told I'd have to put a credit card deposit down, even though I'D ALREADY PAID FOR THE CAR IN FULL. No mention of a deposit when I was booking and paying. I had not brought a credit card with me to pick the car up and she offered no options, no help, no sympathy, NOTHING. I asked her if my husband could call and pay it with the credit card and she SNAPPED at me that it would have to be my credit card since the reservation was in my name. So there I stood, an hour before they closed on Friday, needing the car to leave in a few hours for a week long trip, and NO OPTIONS AND NO HELP WHATSOEVER from her. I called the Budget customer service number for help and they told me it was "all on her to decide what to do, that she could choose to do the right thing and go ahead and give me the car or not but that they couldn't force her to." She would barely SPEAK to me, much less discuss anything. I ended up calling customer service back and they were very apologetic for her horrible attitude and issued a complete refund thankfully but I was still left without a car and couldn't find another in time for the trip. If I could have seen how nasty and sketchy the place looked before I booked online, I'd have never gone there to begin with. Just stay away! ANY OTHER CAR RENTAL PLACE ANYWHERE WOULD HAVE TO BE BETTER THAN THIS PLACE.

The only reason there is one star is because you have to leave 1. I’m a travel agent and I booked my clients rental through Budget. The reservation was confirmed and ready for pickup at the Slidell La location, well due to Hurricane Ida I had to call and see about changing locations. I called customer service and they assured me the car could be picked up in Mandeville La . I called one more time to confirm and they then told me I’m sorry there is no vehicles at that location and there was no record of who I first spoke to. Called back in to customer service was disconnected and then on hold for 35minutes to get disconnected again. Finally spoke with a really nice lady she was a supervisor and she apologized for all the inconvenience and assured me there was a vehicle available for pickup at the Hattiesburg Ms location and quoted me the price of 581.78. When my client showed up for pickup she was charged $717, so I went to speak with the lady (Tonya) working at this location to find out why she was asked to pay a different price. She then told me an additional driver was added which was not requested by my client. When I requested for my client to be refunded the additional driver she called her supervisor. Her supervisor told her to cancel the whole transaction and treat my clients as walk ins and charge them $650 at that point I told them they to keep the vehicle and give my clients a refund. She told me bring me the key I brought her the key and asked how long before refund she told me 3-5 days. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. So rude! Didn’t try to help at all . Didn’t even come out to inspect vehicle with client. I will never do business with Budget in the future. Went up the road to enterprise and was treated like a person! Had a vehicle in 30 minutes!
