“oh now this is my favorite store of all stores ( except for the store that is on hwy 49 and Edwards St across from Exxon... that store need better management. they are rude and never have shelves stocked. I literally hate that store. now this store ( Edwards St. across from family dollar )I love this store and the people are always and I say again.. ALWAYS VERY NICE AND POLITE. I WILL DRIVE OUT OF MY WAY TO COME TO THIS STORE.”
“Store associate greeted me at the door, very friendly and nice. Shelves were well stocked and very reasonably priced. When I needed some help finding an item, the same associate (I believe only two were working at the time) RAN to find the exact location. You don't see such enthusiastic service very often, and I was impressed. A pleasant visit to the Family Dollar in Hattiesburg, Miss., indeed.”
“This is one of the better Dollar Generals they have a lot in stock and lots of room to shop unlike most Dollar Generals that are small. This one is worth going out of the way for if you can because they have a lot more items than most Dollar Generals”

“I was in here one day and there was only one cashier. The guy was obviously new bc there was a line (I was waiting in as well) and some older woman was getting mad that there wasn't more than one cashier with a line this long. The cashier, being new, was getting kind of nervous at the situation. The lady started demanding to see the manager and he called for him. The manager came and he asked if he could come help him check people out. The manager said, and I quote, "nah bro if you got less than 10 people in line then you good". The manager then turned around and walked off. The lady was really mad at this and started giving the cashier a hard time. I'll hand it to the cashier though, he apologized to the woman and handled it well. Didn't catch his name but he was a pretty professional guy and handled himself well, despite being new.”
“The store went through a remodel recently and the staff is working very hard to restock it up to what it used to be. They also just hired an extremely hot manager (I think that is her position, who knows). Anyways happy shopping everyone.”

“Good people but not very organized a lot of their items don't have prices on them so you have to take them to the cashier and when you look at the yellow bar that's supposed to display the items name and price often it would priced and labeled for a different item then the one on display.”
“Staff is super friendly and helpful. Usually they have what I need. The earlier the better. Sometimes the debt card machine acts up but it not the staff fault. They have ask and ask for a new one.”

“After yesterday's pre-Christmas sale, you would expect the shelves to be bare. But DG associates are hard at work restocking. Spent more than I intended, but found everything I needed.”
“If you're looking for an in and out kinda store then this is it. You can run in and usually find what you're looking for rather quickly. When I'm in there I sometimes find something that I didn't know they had. I do like to browse the isles though. Really like shopping @ #dollargeneral.”

“Prices are the best around. Employees are pleasant yet professional. Well stocked with diverse types of items. Prices, as are across the company, are up for some items, but as I said, still the best around.”
“It seems like there's always something new here. English Muffins and bagels today. I'm not a fan of the non dollar items though. In my opinion specialty stores should stick to what they do best.
The staff are courteous, and the manager even stopped to talk to us about what items we liked. This location is a bit smaller than others, but that's worth it for being right down the sidewalk from lots of other shopping, like target and Books A Million. I like when I don't have to keep getting in and out of the car, so shopping center locations like this are preferable to isolated buildings. Sure it's crowded but that just shows that people like shopping here.
Overall a positive on the location, but the company could stand to course correct on their newer business practices.”
“Nice place, especially since they remodeled it. It seems a little short staffed almost every time I go, but they added a self checkout which helps out a lot. Very quick place to shop. Staff is always friendly.”
