This by far has got to be the worst Motel 6 ever. They have shady characters living in the back of the hotel, which I did not know about until I went to walk my dog there are people sleeping in the cars there are people coming and going all night long in and out, terrible really really unsafe feeling. I should have known better when I checked in through the bulletproof glass. Needless to say, I did not sleep I peeped out the window all night long watching the characters go in and out. I forgot to mention the Shawty plumbing work in the bathtub you couldn’t turn the handle to turn it on for fear it would break off. Very poorly run and unkept.

How do you rent a room with NO water at all to the shower? Nothing! Not hot. Not cold. Dry!!! How do you do that? Toilet dirty. Loud people all over the property. Really a disgusting dump.Rooms: No water to shower. Why?

Room was clean. There was an issue with my son locking himself out of the room while I was gone. The hotel explained the procedure and allowed him 24 hour access until I came back and added him to the room as he is 19. I love the security of the hotel as well.

Be cautious when booking a 2nd floor room here if you have pets. Upstairs housekeeping rarely gives out towels if you extend your stay or stay for more than 1 day. Floors also aren’t properly cleaned between guests. I recommend downstairs because they won’t threaten to have you banned or come up with random issues with you. Yes banned, for alleged dirty sheets, excessive dog hair, etc. all without proper evidence. And will blame your pets. You will talk to several people, even the manager, think you resolved the issue and it resurfaces with another employee but with a different story. Forced to tidy up the room when you check-in (pull back sheets and get the loose hair the dryer and housekeeping missed). But if that isn’t a problem for you this is the perfect place!

I stayed here for two nights, mid-October 2023. This is not a boutique hotel, but it had a comfortable bed, room was fresh and clean, good climate control, and had a modern setup: television with HDMI inputs, a refrigerator and microwave. Also plenty of plugins and USB ports immediately next to the bed on both sides. Nice desk area with comfortable office chair. Considering that I paid next to nothing for the room (120 total, cash, for two nights) I think this might be the best value I've had in recent years at a hotel. Thick walls, too. The day and night staff were all pleasant, courteous, and efficient, despite my being pretty tired and grumpy upon check in. Location is very close to downtown Hattiesburg as well, and on the bus line if anyone cares about that (I like transit). I saw some pretty nasty reviews about the place, and I really didn't see any of that. Don't think twice about getting a room here, you'll sleep well and your wallet will thank you.One more thing: you've got to pull the knob toward you to turn on water in the shower. Some previous reviewers didn't seem to understand that.Rooms: Not perfect, but very comfortable and clean with nice beds and the expected modern amenities.Safety: There might be "poor people" nearby, but this spot is completely innocuous.

Straight up dump. The room is disgusting, looks like the towels are dirty, there is hair all over the toilet and shower and enough dirt on the floor to grow a garden. The water pressure is barely a trickle and I don’t even want to sit my bag on the counter. Shocker, the bed is literally the hardest one I’ve ever laid on. Good luck getting any sleep if you stay here. Thank God we’re just here for one night.

By far the grossest hotel I’ve ever stayed at and I’ve stayed many places all over the world. Former military family, so that says a lot! Here are just some of the things we noticed, thank god it was just one night.

If I could give this place zero for a rating I would do so in a heartbeat. We stayed here for exactly one hour and twenty minutes before we packed up our things and left/checked out. No hot water in sink or shower. Handle shower was broken. As I tried to relax in bed from a long drive, I had bugs crawling on my body. Those bugs were bed bugs...so disgusting!! Went to front office with these problems and they didn't believe us and refused to give us a refund. So we left to find a better hotel. As we were doing this,my wife called the hotel back to complain and get our money back. Which they did give us our money back. But after two or three days later, they are trying to charge our account again for the same room they refunded us for.So the moral of this review is this hotel sucks!!Stay at your own risk!!!!

The location is in a rough spot. There is a crazy median that you have to go a mile down to turn around just to enter. The staff were very friendly, they were doing some painting upgrades. The room was clean though very small.Noteworthy details: If you are looking for a place just to sleep and not needing luxury this is it.

DON’T DO IT. The hotel is nasty. Unless you are comfortable lying in someone’s else’s filth, skip this one. The toilet was visibly soiled as well as the sheets. There were spider webs in the tub and there was a huge gap in the doorway through which someone could have peeped into our room. Thank God we brought our own bleach and sheets. Seriously. Don’t do it. We regret the decision to just drive back and forth the 1.5 hrs (as no other rooms were available in the city) rather than stay here for the weekend.Rooms: Flooring didn’t even come up to the wall. Had a handicap accessible room so this is a trip hazard for sure. See the visibly stained sheets and dirty bathroom in the pictures posted.

Great location and super friendly die at the front desk. I always stay at Motel s6s when I travel with my dog since they are super pet friendly. You get what you pay for, it’s not a Hilton or Marriott, but for just one night it’s a great accommodation. I docked a star for the door to the room, which, unless you double slammed it it didn’t click shut all the way.

Rooms are clean but very small. Location was loud and there was a fight among guests that was widely ignored, no coffee in the rooms. Only five channels via cable. Two towels in the bathroom and no wash cloths. One of the two beds was pushed up against the ac so one of us was freezing all night because we were forced against the unit. Would not stay again.

We first get there, the room keys don’t work. Then the shower doesn’t work. They came and tried to get us to check out early when we had 2 more nights still. Then today, around 8 am they didn’t even knock. Thankfully I had the top latch locked, because they tried to just walk in. We had until 11 to check out. I heard them rushing the people next to us out at 8 am also. Do not recommend.

Disgusting. The walls were filthy, the floor was dirty. No iron, coffee pot, phone (had one but was broke) tissues, tv remote busted, toilet lid big chunk missing from corner, tub wouldn't drain ( very quick shower and water was way above my ankle. Be warned.

Had to move twice to different rooms.1. TV not working. 2. No heat. Mgr. on duty very helpful but he should have been told about defects. Room not too clean. Good beds. Very small dog walk area.
