The people here care deeply for your pets. I spoke with the vet about my dogs for over half an hour. She wasn't rushed, and didn't make me feel like she had somewhere else to be. Not only were their prices more than reasonable, but they told me what websites to check for the lowest prices on what I needed. What a great experience!

They help out the community quite a bit but they do blurt out your confidential information in the waiting area; so, if you want everyone in the waiting room to know your animals issues, your card number, your social security number and other personal information this might not be clinic for you. On top of that everyone is so nosy. What happened to keeping people’s information confidential in one of America’s prime crime states?! They also keep your cards on file and charge it as they see fit. When I called to ask about my two dogs getting the distemper shot , one of my dogs was showing signs of distress and the employee twisted my words and stated the dog needed a “distemper test” which never came out of my mouth, and the employee stated they had to come out to car… not to mention I’m a Certified Veterinary Assistant so I know what distemper is. ??♀️ Lastly, please be more sanitary and wipe down and vacuum the exam rooms by having a protocol. Lots of dander and dust everywhere. It’s important so that you don’t pass diseases and germs onto other animals.

Best place to get your furry child seen. Despite their height volume and busy environment they try to get you seen as quickly as possible. My dog is always happy to be there and likes the vets and vet techs. I definitely recommend this place to friends and family who have pets. They are affordable and do not suggest additional care unless they feel your pet really needs it. They understand how we want the best for our pet and wallet.

I am a dog mom so my dogs are my life! Today I dropped Annie off to be fixed shes a little over one and a stay that I took in. She’s a large girl I was worried. They made it so easy everyone is so kind and calm. Which was very welcomed because since I’ve had Annie we aren’t apart much. I ended up farting out to cry in my car and I can say I feel safe she’s with them. So I am thankful. With how the world is I was worried low income clinic meant not the best service but I honestly loved this place! And it looks no different than any other vet office very spacious all dogs were leashes. Just thankful to find this place!

To be clear, the staff and vet were very kind but very misleading. When getting my email to take my cat to get her annual vaccination, it was said the wellness package was $15. Due to me and my partner being low-income, we took this as an opportunity to get our fur-baby up to date on her shots and taken care of. I followed the link to schedule an appointment for my fur baby and everywhere on the site concluded a $15 wellness visit. I would also like to add that I attempted to call 2 times before my visit and got no answer, but left a voicemail to get a call back to confirm appointment time and price— NO CALL BACK. When arriving to our visit the wellness visit was advertised as $15 on the board behind the desk. I even asked the receptionist that checked me in how much the wellness visit would cost, and once again, was told it was $15. Due to my fur baby being agitated during the process, the vet was only able to get her bloodwork. We were told to come back another day with a drug that would calm her down (which I appreciated from the vet). As we head to check out, we were told our remaining balance would be $85. NOT $15. We ended up only paying $35 for the visit and the blood test (we were not told addition shots/bloodwork would cost extra.) Like I said previously, the staff and vet were kind but were not honest or transparent about the total cost of the wellness visit. I would say the biggest issue I have is that we were told the clinic is labeled as a low income vet, and I understand things need to be paid for, however be transparent with your clients on total pricing. Very frustrated with my visit.

Would leave ZERO stars! My husband took our 4 year old black lab to get his annual shots last week. We have NEVER had any problems anywhere else with shots however, they took our fur baby out of the room to do the shots (I’ve never experienced this). When he came back, he had a muzzle on his mouth (he has NEVER had to be muzzled), poop all over him, and a cracked nail that was bleeding. My husband asked about his nail and they told him that 4 workers had to hold him down for the shots and while he was fighting, he hit his nail. This is not his first time being at the vet or having shots and he has never had to be held down. His nail was so badly broken that it actually fell off yesterday. Shortly after his nail falling off, he has been vomiting. I have tried calling to speak to someone about this and have not heard back from anyone. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Asked questions about spay/neuter for cats. I received a message w/great advice w/in a day.Unfortunately, navigating their online presence doesn't give you access to their great advice and that's how you have to set up an appt. The website doesn't explain how to take advantage of the grants they offer thru their messaging site.

I CANNOT say enough good things about the Southern Pines Healthy Pet Clinic. They have treated my babies with the utmost care and they are always so kind to me. The vets are knowledgeable, honest, and most of all COMPASSIONATE. The vet techs are expertly trained and you can tell that they all love their jobs. Earlier this year they cured my baby Mister's heartworm and gave me more time with him which I will be eternally grateful for. I had to put my sweet baby down this past weekend after a long battle with cancer. I don't think I will ever be able to repay them for the kindness that they showed me in what was honestly the worst moment of my life. The vet explained exactly what medicines they were giving him, and the vet tech's even put his catheter in in the room so I didn't have to leave his side even for a minute. They let me listen to his heartbeat when he passed and made paw prints and nose prints for me to keep. They told me I could stay with him as long as I needed and let me carry him to the back of the clinic and assured me he wouldn't be alone while we made arrangements for his burial. The people working at the healthy pet clinic are truly angels. I trust them with all my pets and I recommend them to anyone looking for veterinary care. I truly believe they are the best vets in Hattiesburg. I love the Southern Pines Healthy Pet Clinic because it is so obvious they love their patients.
