“After getting scammed by people impersonating the bank, I showed up in a full panic attack - on a Monday, of course. Demetris was very calm and patient with me as I told her what happened. She reassured me multiple times to her best ability and let me cry there for probably 30 minutes as she listened and worked. She called the fraud department, made sure my card was cancelled and online banking was frozen, as they'd gotten into my account. She followed up with both call and email on what was within her purview. Although I'm unbelievably upset my claim was denied - primarily because numerous people in the BankPlus institution assured me I would get the money back for 4 days before the deny - I do not think that should discredit the fantastic customer service Demetris provided, and has continued to provide, throughout this process. She showed empathy, been patient, has been understanding and relatable, and did everything she could in her position to help me while doing the clerical work necessary. It would've been easier for her to put on a corporate face and only do what was required of her clerically, but she took the extra step to spend emotional energy. That's customer service focused on real people.”
