“The staff at this DG is the reason I visit this store the most!!!! They are so helpful and know me when I walk in. That's nice! The store is a bit congested but, the staff is always working their tales off stocking and cleaning......I would like to see regular stockers doing that job and the tellers in front because, you have to wait while they run up front or stop stocking to come check you out. (DG policy) They have severe employee shortages here and no one stays long. They quit and move on to better paying jobs with no notice. I asked about the turn over and was told they were having a hard time finding good/ reliable employees...….Well, if I got paid so little to do so much, I'd leave, too!!!! The manager has been out sick and the assistant manager has been forced to work 70 hours a week while being pregnant with a high risk pregnancy!!!!!!! AND she's not getting paid as a manager!!!! NO JOKE!!!! Of course, the girl is quitting!!!! I would! I think corporate needs to really take a look at their policies and pay scale before it crashes around their ears!!!! Seeing as my DG is down to 3 staff members then, its about to happen here!!!! The assistant manager has hired several people to help but, none of them have shown up for work or returned her calls. How can they get all that work done when they are short so many workers???? It's impossible to succeed!!!!! It's not the manager or Assistant manager's fault- how could it be??? DG, If you pay a few good employees more then, you need less money and insurance for so many!!! I mean, come on DG corporate, don't you already know this? It's the oldest trick in the book for success!!!!!! Too much turnover causes you to need more resources!!!!!! Downsize and pay well and you will have all the workforce you could EVER need! The store?? Love the regular workers there!!!! It's the only reason I don't go somewhere else due to the way you treat those employees!!! Corporate- you can't possibly expect 3 full-time workers to cover stocking, cleaning, teller and hour shortages for the entire store on a continued daily basis without a single day off in over 40 days, do you???? Mississippi state law says you must give an employee a full day off every 21 days!!!! Period. All of those kids have a lawsuit already! I told all of them to sue the pants off DG for labor law violations!!!!!! DG....you should be ashamed!!!!!”
