“We were returning from a trip in our RV when we discovered a large gash in our front tire. We were 60 miles from home, and 20 miles away from the closest tire shop. It was HOT and we could only imagine how bad it would be if we had a blow-out! Even though the tire was not overheating and was not losing air, we didn't want to take a chance. We put the flashers on and drove 35 mph to Delta Tire and Alignment in Tunica, Mississippi. As expected, they did not have a tire that size, but said they could have one there the next day. We decided to order 2 new front tires and leave the RV at the tire shop overnight.
Well, then we needed a way to get home. Guess what? There are no car rental places in Tunica. We tried to get an Uber, but there were no drivers willing to take us all the way to Memphis. Long story short, the owner of the tire store went out of his way to find someone to bring us home. He is such a nice person. We're grateful that nothing bad happened and we got home safely.
