At one point, my laptop purchased through Aaron's was stolen or misplaced. That was not Aaron's fault. Despite that hardship, I fulfilled my payment obligations and paid the account off completely.

Afterward, I was informed by a higher-level representative that, given my long-standing Gold Member customer status and years of loyalty, the local store might be able to explore possible accommodations or assistance. However, when I contacted the local office, I was advised that no options were available under company policy and was encouraged to consider future purchases instead. While I respect the need for policy compliance, I personally felt unsupported during a difficult situation.

I want to be equally fair and acknowledge the positive. At Aaron's in Waynesboro, Mississippi, located at 907 Mississippi Drive across from Pizza Inn, I have generally been treated exceptionally well. Manager Amanda knows me by name, remembers my purchase history, and has consistently provided excellent customer service. She has always made me feel valued as a customer, and I have no hesitation recommending the Waynesboro location for furniture, appliances, electronics, gaming, and home needs.

Today, I called again to inquire whether insurance coverage could be added now that the stolen/misplaced laptop had been recovered. I was informed that because the laptop account had already been paid off, insurance could not be added under company policy. I understand and respect that policies exist for a reason. However, during the conversation, I just felt the interaction was somewhat curt and less welcoming than I have come to expect from Aaron's. While others may have experienced it differently, I left the call feeling unappreciated as a long-term customer who refers others.

My experience with Aaron's overall has always been positive, particularly at the Waynesboro location and with manager Amanda. My concerns relate specifically to how this particular interaction felt from my perspective, not to the company as a whole.”
