“Really supportive of those with financial needs. Extremely great communication and empathy. Doing great work in the community. (: Adora thank you so much for all of your help! You're awesome.”
“We love Wayside Waifs! We have adopted twice from there! Everyone is so kind. You can feel the love for the animals there! They make sure to take the best care of all the animals! The rooms for the animals are well kept and cleaned! The adoption process is very easy.”
“They have a fantastic selection of kids clothes for great prices (speaking to baby items specifically which are $2-3 per piece. This is much better than typical pricing of $4 or up each at Salvation Army, etc). I've found bamboo high end brands like Posh Peanut here along with Janie and Jack, Cat & Jack Target, Carter's, Walmart brand (wonder something). On Wednesdays they are an extra 20% off!! I highly recommend, it's my fav thrift store for kids clothing. I like to go in each month to see what's new. Staff are also very friendly. No reason to pay $15 and up per item new that gets worn for a month or some months. My 2nd favorite is Maj-R-Thrift in Grandview ( 1500 Main St) huge selection, great prices. Worth the drive. They display by color not size which isn't my fav. They run 50% off entire store sales on memorial day/labor day etc if you're in their text or free rewards club. For seasonal consignment mega sales Rhea Lana is great. I've purchased all my strollers that way. Just Between Friends has better prices but check out lines are at least 1 hour to get through every time not making it worth it to me.”
“We joined a secretary in the last year with the digit desire to donate to one of their projects, Beautiful Gate Foundation. We found that they could efficiently Manage all of our regular recurring, charitable, donations, simplifying, what had otherwise become a very unmanageable task. Everything we’ve asked them to do they’ve done cheerfully efficiently and completely.”
“Love what they do, dropped off angel tree donations and everyone was so helpful directing to the correct place for drop off. Friendly workers and volunteers ❤️”
“Crystal did a beautiful job grooming the boys today. They can be a handful. They both look their very best and I really appreciate her great customer care. We definitely plan to go back and hope to try out a class or two also.”
“Children are our future, but they need to be nurtured by parents and supported by our communities. Remember, they’re on loan to us temporarily- and when they leave the nest, hopefully for a better future than we, as adults did. We’re the ones who set the example. They are the sum total of our being!”
“Have food you don't want or you feel the need to donate this place is it. Down on your luck? Need food? Get it here from friendly people. Thanks for the food.”
“A mitzvah! The only kind, prompt, and tangible help I received after over a month of applications to aid organizations in KC. The support was honestly life changing. The first kosher food pantry and full of real stuff, not big box cast offs I have ever seen. Thank you.”
“I want to Ozanam home for boys probably in March of 1977. The staff member that was introduced to me he wasn't three steps away before some youngster I was a youngster as well back then asked me hey you got a rig I've known where the rig is since I was 10 years old. Kind of freaked me out a little bit but then again back then that's what they call the cigarette rig or a square. Greg Hill the staff member back then. Mr Zimmerman he was the big boss and Caroline Churchill with my caseworker how y'all doing and I forget the black man's name he was a cook I didn't know I was saying he didn't tell me there was no sugar in the ketchup I am so reminiscing right now”
“Cynthia, one of their staff members helped an older lady who was stuck at goodwill. She went out of her way to call the ride company the lady uses to get around Kansas City and made sure someone was coming to get her. Something she did not have to do.”
“The employee chance helped me out as soon as I walked through the door by holding the door open for my son and I to come in. This has been the best experience at any goodwill me and my family have ever had.”
“Have worked with perception funding more so under their fundraising program of GiveTransform, and they have been a great blessing to our ministry in Uganda, and we have been able to learn alot from their online teachings and tutorials.
