“I must say I have had nothing but great experiences with my bank Oak Star! Every time a new charge was posted to my account from a new gas station to a online purchase, Oak Star has flagged the purchase to be sure it was me using my card. At first I was annoyed with it but the more I thought about it, they are looking out for my money and had my best interest! Recently I seen a good deal on Facebook(I do NOT recommend purchasing anything from your Facebook feed) and come to find out they were both scams and immediately I received a call along with a text alerting me of possible fraud from Oak Star. I couldn't be more thankful for that! Each time that happened I went into the bank and within no more than 15 minutes my card was shut down and I had a brand new debit card in my hand! Every worker at Oak Star, at every branch, has been very friendly and always stop what they are doing if they aren't handling another customer and immediately assist me! Thank you Oak Star and all the wonderful employees for going over and beyond for me every single time! I have to give a personal thank you to Madison King at the Bolivar branch for her exceptional customer service the last time I visited the bank! Keep up the awesome work, your an amazing employee! “We took advantage of one of their promotions that we received in the mail. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a friendly welcome from Tracy Kelley. It was less than 10 minutes to set-up the special, and then we began to chat. Within our discussion, it was made clear this is a locally owned bank. Meaning, the decisions are made right there in Bolivar. We met Russ, over the lending department, he was super friendly, very knowledgeable, and showed a great deal of passion to help our small business with an equipment loan. Trisha Turner, the President, was there in passing, and carved time out of her day to welcome us and give a tour of the entire bank. What a joy it was meeting all of the associates within the bank. “I just want to say thank you for everything!! I was going to be meeting someone at my bank, Mid Mo of Bolivar, who was driving 8 hours to purchase my vehicle. In the last 30 minutes before the person arrived at my bank, I realized I couldn’t find a lien release letter needed with the title. Mid Mo told me some options, I called my previous bank from 9 years ago, they worked with Shelley to get that letter to us within 30 minutes - all right before closing time. Shelley offered us something to drink while we waited and everyone was very patient and accommodating as we hung out there taking care of business.
