Book Rack is the largest Indie bookstore in Southeast Missouri, founded in 1997, with a phalanx of customers from throughout the area. It is a very clean and much cozier store than larger chains, offering both used and new books and puzzles. Used books come in daily and new items arrive regularly. It boasts the largest book selection many have seen in a very long time, with a great selection of trending, popular books, some uncommon finds, and lots of books overall. The store has amazing prices for quality used books, which can save frequent readers a fortune, and its prices are generally great. Services include a great buy back program, special orders, curbside pickup, and custom ordering. It is open seven days a week. Staff are described as always helpful, friendly, very friendly, extremely attentive, and helpful, with an excellent background in customer service and a very fine working knowledge of books, even able to tell customers if they've already bought a book. Most customers report very positive experiences and state they would much rather support this small business, looking forward to returning. However, one customer reported a negative interaction where a staff member was unprofessional, leaving them feeling embarrassed, though they still acknowledged the nice place, nice selection, and very good prices.

If you read a lot, this place will save you a fortune!! Very friendly people, can also tell you if you've already bought a book! I have done that more than once!!. Can't say enough about this store!!
