“Mom stopped in one day to check the place out, no one ever talked to her or anything. She went back stopped back in Saturday to look again and said Ken was there and talked to her about what she might be looking for. She said he was very nice, helpful and not pushy. He greeted her and helped her out and told her have a look around and let him know if she needed help he would be right there for her. She wished more places had good employees like him. She said the way he treated her was a complete turn around from her first stop in there. She wanted to assure Ken gets recognized for how well he is with customers, even if they are just looking around. It would be 5 stars if not for the first stop in there.”

“So this is probably the fourth shoe place we visited here at the mall and so far it seems to have the best prices. There are multiple shoes that are only $35 and there are multiple tags showing 30 and 40% off. There is one picture I took of a plain white shoe that might be a retro thing, but why it's $90 is beyond me”

When I first ordered I was just taking a chance but, there was no problem and the merchandise was high quality and the prices were very competitive. I even purchased a few odds and ends that they suggest, so you make free shipping. I thought they would end up being gifts for people we really did not like, but, the stuff is great. “Ok everyone, the guy is gruff. He doesn't suffer fools. Get over it! He does really good work with quality materials like JR soles for that resole of a decent shoe. I've had plenty of nice calf and shell cordovan shoes through his store and received great results. He's even resoled my Birkenstocks. [Why? No break-in again on the leather upper straps if you were wondering.] I've watched him dismiss someone who basically thought he would let them try a bunch of different show laces on their shoes. (And thought he would lace them for them!) The guy has a backroom full of work from locals and internet referrals to do and economically cares more for the $150 resole of some Aldens than someone walking in for the first time with a $10 request for heel pads that believes he should drop everything for them. I am a recurring customer and have a wonderful report with him. He can be quite pleasant and engaging. Could he be nicer to people? Yes. Should he be nicer? Probably. Do people walk in expecting to have their posteriors kissed? Yes. He is a good place to buy Alden dress shoes, btw.”
“Very cool store. I love the atmosphere of the place. The employees are always friendly without being pushy and were helpful in recommending products and finding the right shoe size. The prices are considerably cheaper than online but because of the physical size of the store, the variety isn't as wide as what they have online. Still a great place to shop.”
