“I’ve been a customer since 2008, and this is honestly the first time I’ve had an issue with my order.
The staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful throughout the process, and I appreciate how kind everyone was. However, I was disappointed with how my order was handled.
I submitted print-ready designs and only needed them printed. When I received the proof for my banner, I approved it because it matched the dimensions I ordered—it was designed in a horizontal (landscape) layout. When I arrived to pick it up, the finished banner had been printed vertically (portrait) instead.
When I brought it to their attention, I was initially told, “Well, you approved the proof.” I explained that I did approve the proof, but the final product did not match the proof I approved. After looking at it, the employee acknowledged that I was correct. Another employee explained that they had “assumed it would be okay.” Unfortunately, assumptions shouldn’t be made when printing customer artwork. The banner was being used with pipe-and-drape curtains, and because it was printed in the wrong orientation, it looked short and unprofessional for my event.
I was also disappointed that I was charged the full price even though the finished product didn’t match the approved proof.
In addition, none of my menu boards were printed at the exact sizes I requested. Some were made larger and others smaller, requiring me to adjust my displays. Since I provided completed artwork, I expected the prints to be produced at the requested dimensions.
What disappointed me most wasn’t just the mistakes—it was that I didn’t feel there was much effort to make things right. The overall feeling was that because the items had already been printed, I simply needed to accept them and pay for them.
I’ve trusted FASTSIGNS with my printing needs for many years, which is why this experience was so surprising. I hope this feedback helps improve quality control and customer service moving forward because I’ve always had great experiences in the past.”
