“I’ve been a loyal customer for over 25 yrs. i have bought several bikes for road racing and commuting. The repairs have always been fast (2-3 day turnaround), reasonably priced, and spot on. I always recommend Sunset as THE place to go. Recently i took my wife’s all terrain wheelchair in for work. The staff did the needed repairs and selected upgrade parts needed. They went above and beyond what I expected and made the chair better than new.Gerry (aka Hippie)”

“Great place for any bike-related thing. People there are kind and supportive. I had a problem with my disk brakes and thought that it's gonna take a long time fix it, but the staff there helped me to solve this issue for a few minutes! I would strongly recommend this shop for anyone.”

“Needed some help inflating presta valve tires on my Ferrari folding bike (always had Schrader valves previously). They were super helpful and showed me how presta differs when inflating. This is now my go-to bike shop. Looking forward to getting a suspension MTB there!”

“I stopped by in Saint Louis on a cross country trip to run a few laps at cliff cave. I accidentally drained my brake fluid unpacking my bike and the folks at trailhead mesa were able to top me off with no issues. Also threw in a pair of disc brake spacers that I didn’t have for my bike which is going to be great for the next leg of my trip. Wonderful staff would recommend to anyone stopping through!!”

“The owner Mike is a great guy. Very talented and caring about his customers. He fixed my shifting problem on gear slippage from the factory on my Letric Bike. OEM parts had defective chain and gear sprocket. After he fixed it, the bicycle is now running better than when it shipped to me. It's great to find an owner run shop that treats customers the old fashioned way, with concern and respect. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommend.Ron Edelman”

“The staff at Maplewood Bicycles is so friendly - they immediately made me feel welcome and valued. It's clear that they all LOVE cycling and helping others enjoy it too. Chris took the time to learn about my bikes' histories and carefully explain what he was looking at and why as he checked them both in for a cleaning and tune-up. I cannot overstate how impressed I (a middle-aged female non-athlete with inexpensive bikes) was to be in a bike shop that didn't make me feel invisible. Most importantly, they did a BEAUTIFUL job on my bikes: they are now safety-checked and in perfect shape for winter riding and next season! I had an excellent experience with Maplewood Bicycles and I recommend their work to everyone, no matter how much or how little you bike.”

“The service was very professional and friendly. Robbie took me in from the moment I walked in the store and explained everything he recommended and why. He was very helpful and courteous. When my 5 year old bike came back it looked brand new! Great service and I will return.”

“We love our bikes, and Bill & Carla have been fantastic! We’re so glad that we bought our bikes through them, as they listened to what we were looking for, got us exactly what we wanted, had us verify that reality met our expectations by testing different models, and then had them ordered, assembled and ready for pick-up for our trip to St. Louis. On top of that, they allowed our son to test one out when we took our for their maiden rides. Great job! Highly recommended! If you’re going to get an electric bike, get a Pedego. When you’re ready to buy a Pedego, buy from Bill And Carla!”

“Scott and his team at the bike center went above and beyond whenever I had issues with my Giant Fathom. Thankfully, the issue was covered under warranty, and they got it all sorted and ready for me to use again! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase, or even service their bike!”

“I was having an issue with my bike’s gearing while I was out in the surrounding neighborhood and walked into A&M for some advice. The staff was friendly, helpful, and took their time to try to diagnose the problem. They made some tiny adjustments to my rear derailleur that seem to be helping, and having them look the bike over made me feel more confident that I could ride it home safely. I will definitely be back next time I need service or repairs.”

“Bike Store in St. Louis with friendly service. Very welcoming. Great selection for all types of riding, including high and mid range bikles. “V family recently upgraded 1970s era bikes for more modern cruisers. Found the staff to be very helpful and supportive. Didn't try to push the priciest models. Walked away happy and with new bikes for all V family (except the littlest V who will inherit older siblings former ride for now). For beginners to advanced bikers HBC is a great option!”

“Chuck (the owner) runs one of the better bike shops in the area. Chuck is the smartest and most flexible mechanic I’ve ever met. He works with anyone’s budget, works harder and faster than anybody else probably could. Most importantly his prices and the quality of his work are impeccable. You pair all of this with amazing customer service you get one of the best bike shops in St.Louis County. Think twice before you go to sunset cyclery.”

“Needed saddle posts swapped, and an Alinker rear wheel inner tube swapped. Lacking the tools and strength to do it myself, I went here on my cousin's recommendation. Not only were they able to do it immediately, it only cost $20 and about 10 minutes of labor. They even ensured the rear tire was properly inflated before I left.Excellent service, plus they have shop dogs!”
