“I could probably spend all day in this store. And probably all my money. So many items that brought back memories. Will definitely be back to spend more time and money”
“I've been going here since I was a kid. That place and the guys that have worked there forever, have a special place in my memories of growing up.
Plus they have EVERYTHING!”
“I love The Vault! I always find great things there! I also just recently won the July giveaway and the staff was so nice when I walked in to receive the bag! Such a great store and friendly staff!”
“Right behind Q-Trip at the top of the hill in with the DMV. A little gem if you've never been there you might find a treasure or two. Little brother found an MCM round radio and an AM radio both priced really reasonably. Some antiques, along with food items, new items, and crafts. Nice warm welcome by the ladies at the desk. The cat was nice and didn't even notice it until my dog saw it. Parking is sparse due to the DMV next door. Check it out you never know what you might find if your in the area.”
“I really liked this thrift store. It seemed to be half antiques/half thrifted items. The prices were incredibly fair and they had some sales going on. It's quite a drive from where I live but I plan to check it out again soon!”
“I went to the May 31 sale in Ballwin. I picked up a few things and saw a dust collector system I really wanted. I left to think about it and of course checked with my wife. So I later went back to the sale and spoke with Becky Kaletka. She suggested since I couldn’t get it that day to put a bid on it, If successful I could get it the next day. It all worked out and Becky let me in early on Sunday to disassemble it and take it out. My Thanks to Becky for working with me to make this happen.”
“Nice warm welcoming by the ladies when you enter both stores. If you're looking for somewhere just to get out, these 2 stores are ok. I didn't find any treasures myself, but little brother found some cardinal glasses. Prices are slightly higher than most antique malls. Don't look for the street sign. Just turn it into the strip mall, and you'll see it as the street sign is missing. There Alot of primitives, new items, and crafts. No Mid-Century Modern for me. Over-all nice place to visit now and again.”
“Everyone I have encountered at this store is warm and helpful, on the phone, in the store and with deliveries. They really care about the customer and go out of their way to make sure you have the service you need. Most reasonably priced midcentury furniture I have ever seen. A ++++.”
“Nice things to choose from. However I needed to leave before purchasing anything. I could not handle the music that was playing. Not a relaxing shopping experience with music playing that I just wanted to run from.”
“Affordable prices, a variety of selections to choose from, friendly and trustworthy staff, what more can you ask for?! I shop here for 510-thread cartridges, and they are always kind enough to allow me to check that the product is not damaged/defective before buying it, as a common problem with 510 cartridges is fluid leakage.
I left my wallet there today on accident, and a kind staff member held onto it for me until I called the store! They tried everything they could to get a hold of me up until that point. My wallet was returned just the way it was before I lost it. Grateful and satisfied!”

“I have been a Bell Ringer for the Maplewood Salvation Army for 15yrs and counting. I have helped by raising a great amount of money for the needy. Hope to see you this year. Remember no donation is to small when we do it together!!!!!”
“I love this place they always have some great stuff some of it's a little overpriced but a lot of stuff is actually priced very well and they're very friendly and every month it's something new so it's a great place to stop by and look around”
“It’s small but very carefully selected. Mostly high price, unique designer items but they also have good quality items from more affordable brands for less than $100. Found a beautiful wool coat which was what I was looking for. Really enjoyed seeing all the lovely pieces.”
“Such a treasure trove of the unique! I love the whole idea of recycling used furniture and all their consignment items look top notch! They have a unique markdown schedule too so it’s nice to know what to risk getting now or later! Fell in love with an item- but I was too late it was sold. Sad day for me. I’ll be back hunting again someday!”
“Great little store! Very friendly and lots of unique finds in one place. If you're looking for a good way to support small businesses and local artists then you need to check them out.Great location. Friendly staff. Street or nearby garage parking.”
“Staff was kind and clothing is fairly priced for being vintage/ consignment store clothing and most items are unique. Also has multiple fitting rooms! Some items are handmade and a bit more expensive compared to their other items, but are still very reasonable. Two handmade shirts I looked at were about $20-30, and other items ranged in price. Got a baggy tee here for $5 (half off of the original price, $10). Pictures are two shirts I did not buy but tried on.”
“They're very nice there salvation army I grew up around there church my family father side are big in it I believe colonels or whatever they are you can always count on the salvation army to be at a major disaster bless each and every one of them helping others ?”
“I have not been inside for a while but was usually a good spot to get good frames cheap. I'm sure they have other stuff, but not what im looking for. Also a great spot to dump off all of your unwanted atuff”
“The customer service is terrible! As soon as I walked into the store with my bins the girl looked at me and said, “We don’t take women’s clothes, that’s next door.” “We only take high end items, like American Eagle.” She didn’t look at my clothes , she just looked at me and said it. It was so rude and prejudice! She acted like I was an old women that didn’t know where to buy clothes. I will never walk into that store again.
Side note: The clothes I took were all from Old Navy, Aeropostale and American Eagle.”
“Super nice Plato’s Closet location. Located off of Manchester Road in a sleepy strip mall, this is the largest one I’ve been to in a while. It’s 90% women’s clothes, so my friend was loving it. There’s some men’s selection, but it’s few and far between. The prices weren’t bad at ALL given today’s economy — and the staff were eerily friendly (Plato’s employees are known to be a bit snobbish). I’d come back!”
“Nice selection. I ended getting a cardigan and a camo jacket which are two pieces I’ve been needing but didnt wanna spend “new” money on, also got a pair of shades!”
“Hands down the BEST location of OUAC! I shop here several times a year and it's always the cleanest, most efficiently run store both from buying and selling. The racks are always bursting with baby items, which is what I come for. I always leave with at least on bag bulging full of adorable stuff in good condition. Prices are very fair for secondhand clothes. You guys are doing such a great job!”
“The store is really cute, however … it was full the whole time we where there, the fitting rooms where occupied by the same group of teenagers the entire time. There was no assistance whatsoever, the lines where quite slow and the skirt we bought turned out to be the same one they have at another brand.”
