“Visited this Dollar General just a few days after it opened and it was spectacular. Everything was so clean and bright, TONS of groceries, and friendly employees. This store is less than a mile from my home, so I will be visiting often!”

“I wanted to take a moment to recognize the young cashier who was working the register this evening. She conducted herself extremely well while dealing with a very irate customer.

The customer was arguing about her total and was upset that a $5 Saturday coupon had not been applied. The young cashier came around the register and calmly attempted to explain the total and what had occurred. Unfortunately, the customer would not allow her to get a word in. The cashier was clearly becoming flustered, yet she continued to remain polite, professional, and kind throughout the entire interaction.

What concerned me most was that this ordeal lasted approximately 15 minutes, and I did not see a single manager step in to assist her. I did notice a man walking around the store wearing a black polo shirt who appeared to be a manager. If he was, I was very disappointed that he did not come to the front to support an employee who was clearly struggling with a difficult customer.

Regardless of the circumstances, that young cashier kept her composure and remained sweet and respectful throughout the entire situation. She deserved to have a manager step in and support her.

I hope her professionalism is recognized. Employees should not be left alone to handle situations like this, particularly when a customer refuses to listen and the employee is clearly becoming overwhelmed.

Please make sure this young woman knows that at least one customer noticed how well she handled herself. She did a great job under difficult circumstances.”

“I like the store ok but they have restrooms that they won't allow the customers to use. My visit there was shortened because of that. I would have bought more but had to leave to find a restroom somewhere else.”
