Taney County Surplus is a unique budget shopping destination that combines elements of a discount store and thrift shop. The store features a variety of products, including kitchen utensils, housewares, cookbooks, OTC medications, and a wide selection of food items such as pasta, canned goods, and snacks. It also offers limited fresh produce and a range of frozen meats and family-sized prepared meals. While some items may be past their "use by" dates, customers report that the products are still good and often significantly cheaper than typical grocery stores. Prices can vary widely, with many items discounted due to nearing or exceeding expiration dates. The staff is noted for being friendly and helpful, making the shopping experience pleasant. Overall, Taney County Surplus is worth a visit for those looking for bargains and willing to manage expectations regarding product freshness.
Most of the items are already expired, but if you do some research, you can still find good stuff.

Seldom stop in anymore. It's kinda gone downhill. Hardly any freezer section items, prices have gone up some, and overall availability of items have gotten low as well. I do check expiration dates. We use to frequent here; miss when it had more to choose from. Employees have always been very nice.
