Was going in to purchase a suit. Gentleman by the name of Mark helped me throughout the entire process. If you need clothes tailored there a nice lady next to the mall that will usually her your stuff done within the date you need it within reason.

Disappointed in how I was treated by the employee in the men’s suit department. He asked if I needed anything and I told him I was just looking, but thanked him for asking. He advised me they were closing in 30 minutes and began making comments as if I didn’t have the money to shop there. I was minding my business not asking questions and he stated they don’t rent, only sell. I brushed it off although I found that to be an odd remark. Then he told me Dillard’s offers a credit card if I needed it. I told him no thank you, I have cash. Then he tried directing me to the other side of the store where I know items were much cheaper. He advised me that I would be a tough fit due to my long arms and lean build. I found his comments to be insulting and I didn’t ask for his assistance anyway. I feel like I was judged by him for my appearance as I had just left work and still had my steel toed boots and work clothes on. I understand the Independence Center has had its problems over the years, and stores around the country are dealing with theft issues, but every turn you make in this store you’re greeted by an employee as if you’re up to no good. I won’t consider them for my business again.

I love Independence Dillard's the customer service is GREAT! Howard in the downstairs mens department is excellent and unmatched by his professionalism. Mrs Minnie inside of the ladies department upstairs always treats my 84 year old mom with such personal care.THANK YOU guys Edgar and my mom Ms Ollie.

I had a very nice experience there today on 1/19/2025. My wife and I were at the mall and decided to drop in . We went to the men's department. I wasn't planning on buying anything at the time but wanted to see what size certain type shirts fit on my body. In comes Mauricio. I told him exactly what I just said in the review. He was very kind with helping me find the shirts that I was looking for and the sizes too. Usually when you tell a salesperson that you are window shopping they treat you differently than when they thought that you were buying something. He even suggested the size and told me why the size that I thought I wanted wasn't right for me. I just wanted to let the company and the public know how good of a job he did.

I went to buy a suit. I was immediately harassed and singled out, and followed talked about loudly by upper management not even security or independence 5.0. It's a damn shame I'm a retired vet. After getting my measurements fitted for a suit I decided not to share my VA money with this company.

Sadly disappointed...My family and I purchase over a thousand dollars in perfume sets for Christmas gifts to eachother every year at Dillards. Recently we found out, one of the scents we bought my daughter she did not like. We thought no problem this is an easy fix. we will go exchange the perfume for a different scent before Christmas. To our surprise we could not request an exchage. We were told by the manager she could not complete the exchange or provide us credit towards a different purchase because we purchased the purfume set during an event when the store gave us a coupon. A coupon that is given to customers as a reward for spending a certain dollar limited. You are not told that using the coupon will make all sales final. The items you purchased in the transction when you receive the coupon and the items you purchase on the transaction where you use the coupon. In my eyes that is not rewarding the customer at all. It's not fair that we cannot make even exchanges or get credit towards a higher purchase. Dillards please make this right.

I bought a pair of Uggs exactly one week ago and the seam started to unravel so I attempted to exchange them. I was told by the manager in the shoe department that I caused the problem and there was nothing he could do about it. He wouldn’t even look me in the eye and basically ignored everything I said. I would love to know how I could have caused what he referred to as an “accident”. I will not be quiet about paying two hundred dollars for a pair of boots to only enjoy them for a week.
