About Independence Center
Independence Center is a leading shopping destination in Kansas City with a great selection of popular retail stores. The mall features a really cool area for kids in the center that looks like something out of a story book, complete with an awesome arcade, a mossy looking bridge, and a big play area. There are plenty of places to eat, including some great treats and a wonderful Korean food stand. Visitors note the convenience and a decent array of stores, though some observe it is on the decline with stores gone or closing and a limited food court. The need for better security inside the mall is mentioned. Despite changes, it remains a place where people can spend hours between the stores, food, and play area.

Was there today visiting the Dick's Sporting Goods for a replacement Disc Golf Disc. Thankfully they had the one I needed. FYI Google maps will send you 1 corner too soon. Would recommend whoever does the parking lots and lane lines this whole place could use some TLC.

A lot of life and people here everytime I go! The staff at all the shops are always so friendly and helpful!
