I shopped there on Saturday and was purchasing a wooden salad bowl that was marked $5.98. When the new clerk a very nice gentleman was ringing me up a woman approached that worked there as well and said you didn’t want these that go with it and it was the Tongs that went with it. I said I didn’t even see them then she told him you can’t ring this up when the price tag looks like this. well the price tag was kind of messed up but the price was clearly shown as $5.98She then said that the item was actually $25 and someone had switched the tags and I said $25? She was very rude and said yes I priced it myself. I said well for $25. I don’t want it. He then tried to void the sale and there was some confusion because I had partially paid with a gift card I was trying to use up and the remainder with cash. She was very rude to him, and then she looked at me and said well, you’re trying to steal from me in front of a line of shoppers just announced that I was a thief. I Come to the store often and have purchased many items from here and was shocked that she would say this to me in front of other people and just accuse me. My daughter was understandably, very upset and demanded I get my refund. Yes, my daughter used some colorful language, but we were both shocked that she implied that I was a thief. She then refused to give me my refund until my daughter left the store. They went back-and-forth and the lady called the police. We decided to wait outside for the police as this was turning into a circus in front of everyone. We met with the police. We explained what happened and when I checked my balance, she had then refunded the amount and we left. This was extremely unprofessional and unfounded. I work two jobs and don’t have to steal. I do understand that this happens sometimes but I think that there’s a better way to handle this. I will no longer be shopping at the store nor will I take my donations there. I will give them to some other establishment that does not treat people this way.

What a great store! Amazing selection for a thrift store at a time when most of them suck now.

Prices are a bit high for a thrift store. Underwent a reorganization, and things are much better organized.

I’ve been shopping at this Salvation Army location regularly—at least twice a week—for the past three years hunting for home decor. During my most recent visit, I selected several items and brought them to the register. The manager took one item off the counter and said the price tag on it was incorrect. Although it was marked $2.98, she stated she would have to charge me $5.98 instead.
When I mentioned how frequently I shop there and how unusual this was, she refused to honor the price on the tag and said she couldn’t sell it for $2.98. I calmly pointed out that, as the manager, it didn’t make sense to cause a commotion over a $3 difference, especially given the amount I was spending—nearly $60. She then brought up issues with people switching tags and strongly implied that I had done so, which I found incredibly inappropriate and offensive, particularly with my child standing beside me. As a general manager of a high volume well known retail store I completely understand causing loss to the business however as the manager she had the authority to do what’s right by the customer and she chose not to over $3 assuming she was even correct in remembering the price of this very specific item. The manager was on the phone during most of this conversation and when I stood my ground and let her know, I felt disrespected and accused she hung up the phone. I know this was someone of importance because she had it on speakerphone and they were talking about sales numbers for the store.
This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with this location and Manager specifically, I recently inquired about a price on an item on the sales floor that didn’t have a tag she told me $12.98 when I got to the register to check out the cashier rang me up for $19.98. I told the cashier that this was incorrect and she verified with the same manger over the walkie and it was in fact, $12.98 however, when I got to my car, I checked my receipt and was still rang up for $19.98. When I called to inform them of the issue, I was told over the phone there was no way to prove the conversation happened. I just accepted my loss.
I’ve always supported this store, both by shopping and donating, but being accused of dishonesty and treated with suspicion was deeply disappointing. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and prioritizes respectful customer service moving forward. Unfortunately, I will no longer be shopping there for fear of having things charged or changed at the register again or being accused of dishonesty in front of my children. I do understand that my loss of business will not impact on a great level however, I do hope she understands how disrespectful she was today and had an opportunity to show kindness and even an opportunity coach and develop her teams to tag items with the pricing she sees fit instead of deciding prices at the checkout.

They have apparently forgotten that they are a thrift store!! Everything is overpriced and some of it still has the original price tag on it but they charge more...it makes no sense!!

Do not shop here. I used to enjoy it and thought prices were very reasonable but this last time they wanted to dispute the price of a bird feeder with me. I understand that people want to swap price tags but this was priced at $2.98 and they needed to honor it. Both employees were very rude about the price with me so I just told then to forget about it. I'll just buy one off Amazon for cheaper.

I grew up going to this place. I'M 40 years old now. I frequent this place. Inless than a year . The prices $ have gone way up. $ Double on clothes . $Quadruple on soft back books.$ Triple on Hardback . It's a shame . It isn't a real thriftstore anymore. They have ebay prices. They should sell all there stuff online and stop fooling people in person. It is definitely not salvation army anymore.Prices like a consignment store ,Go to Any other retail store and pay an extra dollar for a new one. The used ones here are literally more expensive than Walmart sometimes On anything good.

Has gone down hill. When they rearranged the lay out of the store the whole atmosphere changed. They also stopped playing religious music, which is what made this one of my favorite thrift store. It felt like a save haven where I could go & buy clothes, & find a place to just get a way.Today I asked for a discount on a damage item, & the guy wanted to go into such detail as to why he couldn’t, & how he was following the rules to the tip top. & how their prices out beat all the other thrift store in the area. When coming in before & finding damage goods & asking for a discount they have given it to me.I don’t like the way I was treated, and this will bring my business to those other thrift store.
