been trying to open an account with this place for a week in order to invest in a CD. they said we had to create an account online then wait for an appointment to go into the office, but failed to tell us which type of account. my husband called the 800 number find out, they said just go to the office, don't need an account or appointment, and they'll handle it for you. my husband drove across town to the office and they said he had to go online and create an account before they could even talk to him. he didn't take his laptop with him, so he couldn't do it. he asked if they could just tell him the current CD rates. No, they couldn't. SERIOUSLY? he had taken the time and trouble to drive to the office, was standing IN the office, and they couldn't tell him the rates??? she gave him a card and said he'd have to call that number to find out. charles schwab is evidently not looking for business, which is good because they're not getting ours.

This is brokerage unit of Schwab, and not Schwab Bank. They can't assist with transactions or customer service related to SB. Too bad Schwab customer service did not tell me that when I called.

Nov 9th - System down. Toll free number is unresponsive.Local office os unresponsive. Local brokers Connor Anderson, Wendy Mayfield and Samira Johnson are unavailable.End result - lost thousands on a trade due to system failure.Dispute process is a joke as they do t follow up with you and we you call them they are dismissive.TAKE YPUR INVESTMENT ELSEWHERE. I MEANT IT!!!

Tried to open a checking account in addition to my other accounts. After a week, checking account still not opened. Tried calling local branch numerous times but always got redirected to central "Customer Service" which could not help. Do regular banking at a regular bank!

I have a check I need to deposit that is drawn on this bank. I called to verify if funds were available. They wouldn't let me know. First time I have ever been told that a bank couldn't let me know if funds were available. The person was very rude as well.

We called to make an appointment to get some information switched over and to order a few cards and checkbooks. This isn't normally the kind of place that I leave reviews for, but for what we needed we had a good experience here. The only issue was that I had a meeting at noon, we got there at 11:00 and they weren't ready for us. We ended up getting things taken care of before my meeting but it was scary! The secretary was very nice and the banker giving us info knew his stuff!
