Kirkwood Park offers a pleasant family experience with plenty of space and various activities. It features picnic areas, clean restrooms, and is pet friendly. Visitors can enjoy paved trails around a lake, mulch-covered paths along a creek, and two playgrounds designed for different age groups. There is also a splash pad and a sand box for younger kids, making it an ideal spot for families. The park is generally not crowded, providing a peaceful atmosphere. While the pool has a $17 fee for non-residents, which some find expensive, the park itself is well-maintained and hosts events like Fourth of July fireworks. Overall, Kirkwood Park is a large, friendly space perfect for outdoor enjoyment, though the bathrooms could use updates.
My kiddos loved the splash pad, they did the playground for a little bit but my oldest (7) got bored after about 20 minutes or so.

First time I'd ever been there. It's huge, with a lot of open space, a nicely developed playground area, good parking and easy access from major roads.
