Should’ve read the reviews. Should’ve listened to friends. Skip the appointment here.
I had everything nicely organized to send my kids passports off. We had a mistake on the applications and the lady at front was snippy about it (I’m guessing Tracy is the lady at front based on the reviews). We filled everything out again. Zero help in pointing out where the new applications were. Once we were done we were completely done filling them out, she’s like “oh well it says on the front black ink only”. Ok, fine, we should’ve seen this but THERE WERE BLUE PENS BY THE SHEETS!!!!!!
Oh… and they didn’t have any money orders. Tell me how a post office runs out of money orders?!?
Ended with her telling us she would only process one. It’s a good lesson for our children on how to be a kind helpful person instead of hating life and everyone you encounter.

I scheduled a passport appointment two weeks ago for my children. We arrived a few minutes before our scheduled appointment and were told that they won’t be able to service us because there was only one person working and the other workers did not come to work today. I was not emailed or called to let me know my appointment was canceled. I called customer service to make them aware of what happened and they provided me with a couple of walk in appointments for this weekend. Not even one minute after I hung up with customer service I received a call from my local post office and I wasn’t sure why they called because I was done with the conversation after I hung up with customer service. The lady on the phone was more defensive than apologetic. She stated that she sent another worker to that post office 20 minutes after my appointment time, and I explained that didn’t help me seeing how I had already left and was denied service due to a lack of staffing.

Ask yourself: how often do you see a specific employee repeatedly mentioned by name or description in one-star customer reviews spanning at least five years?
This place isn't a post office. It's an object lesson in how terrible people combined with terrible institutions are somehow more terrible than the sum of their parts. You should actually go once just to see how bad it can be. Ask for Tracy. Try to send something certified.
As for me, I've already been. Plenty. For years. And I'm done. I'll just cancel my PO Box and use UPS for everything. It's more expensive and further away, but well worth it to avoid Tracy. She can go on living miserably in the hell she's made for herself while I try to forget she exists.

I'm not usually able to drop off packages during the day, so the after-hours package drop box has been a great help. The past few times I've tried this location, the drop box has been locked. It's ridiculous

AVOID THIS LOCATION:
On two separate occasions I've come here and the person working at the front desk closed the part of the post office where I needed to buy bubble mailers. The customer service is poor and the person I interacted with always talks very condescending to me. Like it's my fault lol
This location sucks and I hate it.
She told me if we didn't close it (mail material section) early the. people would just buy like crazy at close.
So you mean to tell me that "we closed it early to prevent people from buying things they needed"
She then gave me the instructions to use a priority mailer and told me pretend that I didn't know I had the wrong mailer.
She literally told me to use the wrong kind of mailer, which didn't have bubble wrap in it.
The self kiosk doesn't work well either.
If you go south 2 miles to the Sappington branch it is a world of difference.
Close this branch USPS.

Every time I came to drop off a box, my experience was good.
No issues with anyone working here. Workers are under a lot of pressure in this industry. Here, they seem determine to finish the task quickly and efficiently!
Arrive here close to when they open if in rush or generally like a chill atmosphere.
Usually there is one person at the desk.

I needed to mail a large envelope and the guy and the counter had nothing but attitude. I was the only one there and he was rude from start to finish.
