“Had to rent a U-Haul for the first time in over a decade to help a friend move some things. The last time I rented one, I think my parents actually rented it for me. So I was lost and didn’t know what to do.

Gave them a holler since I wasn’t sure about the U-Haul app. They walked me through everything. Got me on the road real quick and made sure I knew what to do on my return.

It’s small shop. I’d say family ran. So it’s easy to overlook compared to the big dealership next door. Really friendly and hard working folks though. I got a good gut feeling about them. They seem like the type of folks that go the extra mile for the customer and take pride in their work. Hopefully they won’t judge me too harshly for not backing the U-Haul up when I returned it instead of just pulling in. I overestimated my ability to help people move at my age and I don’t know if I’ll be able to move in the morning.

“Really great place. Fast, efficient and very fairly priced. My car broke down on i-70 on my way from Columbia to Kansas City. They were the best reviewed and closest auto shop to mile makrer 76. We towed the car and dropped it off over night. Called the next day. Just a few hours later they called back with a diagnoses and how they were going to fix it. Told me once parts came in, it should be ready the next day. By lunch the next day I had gotten a call saying its done and ready for pickup. They had replaced the wheel bearing, hub, and ABS/TCS sensors. The parts weren't cheap (as expected) but the labor was under $100! I picked the car up that evening. Overall an amazing experince. If I'm ever stranded on i-70 again I will definitely go to Thurman's!”
