Scheduling was easy, and the car was ready before our requested time. They also fortunately found a mistake that a previous mechanic had quite unfortunately made. They communicated quickly and clearly about what was discovered and shared photos of it. I especially appreciated their honesty that the repair is important but not urgent (and the given instructions on how to keep an eye on it in the meantime). “Kevin and Scott were absolutely amazing and were able to fit me in last minute. I needed my drivers side mirror replaced and I had brought the exact part for my car from the Toyota shop. I came here to save some money on labor and time because Toyota was outrageously priced. Unfortunately Toyota also seemed to give me the wrong part that didn’t fit my car so when Scott went to install it it didn’t fit. Despite having done the work to remove my door panel and the old mirror to prep for installation as well as putting it all back together they way it was they were extremely understanding of my situation and didn’t charge me for the labor since I didn’t get a part installed. Even though it wasn’t their fault most shops would not be so kind. If I wasn’t in a tough spot financially I would have paid them for the labor regardless but I am so so grateful there are people in this industry that care about there customers. It’s a rare thing to find and I hope this review helps others see the kind of people here at this shop. If I lived in the area that would immediately make this my go to shop.”

“I went into Afton Auto just expecting to get a simple diagnostic, but my experience turned out to be way more than that. Vince immediately stood out as someone who genuinely cares!!!
After talking with me very briefly, he didn’t hesitate he asked me to pop the hood and started walking me through everything right there. He even showed me how other shops had taken advantage of me in the past, which honestly meant a lot because I’ve been burned before and was pretty skeptical going in.
What really impressed me was his honesty. He straight up told me he wouldn’t take my money because he knew the issue I had could lead to more problems down the road, AND HE DIDN’T FEEL RIGHT CHARGING ME for something that wouldn’t truly fix my situation!
That level of integrity is rare nowadays.
I came in hoping for a different experience than I’ve had with other shops, and I finally got it! I walked out feeling completely confident about what I should do next. Vince helped me come up with a clear plan and even gave me advice on how to sell/trade in my vehicle the right way.
On top of all that, he’s extremely friendly, easy to talk to, and treats people with respect, especially younger customers like me, which I really appreciated.

“When I lost the connection at a dealership for really , really good pricing , I shopped for a shop that I would like. This car ex is convenient to my home and the people there are friendly. My 2020 outback was due For the sixty thousand mile Preventative maintenance.
It's a pricey little gesture, usually over a thousand dollars. I got a quote from Car-X and from a dealer, and they were about the same although they did not list the same services. I prefer spending my money local than giving to a big dealer so I made the appointment with car x.
Armed with the list subaru gives you of necessary work for sixty thousand miles, the mechanic And I Decided what was needed.
After the work was over and I went to drive the car.The next day , twelve hazard lights came on and wouldn't go off. I called over there and had to make a trip , and they put their little gizmo on and was able to clear the codes. Drove away and the codes came back up the next day. I made the call again and was told that the person that had the machine to test it wouldn't be there until the following day.So I was grounded at home being afraid to drive it with the check engine light on.
Finally , got in there and he started in. The mechanic found that one little piece was not reconnected properly.And this turned off some of the lights , but not all of them. He's a pretty stubborn guy.So he said , i'm gonna try this , and this and see if I can get those hazard lights off. 4 hours later, he found the problem, and I got my car back.They also put in about a $150 of their time and trouble to make it work.This is very appreciated by me and I will always take my car to these guys.”
“Within 30 minutes of finding out I had a flat tire I was able to bring my car to them, they immediately started working on it and was on my way before I could even worry about having to figure out how to navigate the rest of my day. “Told them I needed my transmission replaced on my 70 Chevelle due to a previous diagnosis from a shop. I noticed the car had issues going up hills and slowed down on the highway. They did a test drive and said it’s the engine not transmission. Super nice about it and tried to help find a performance based shop to figure out why it was having issues. Very nice people and fast service. They had replaced the transmission on my sons 2000 Acura TL a couple years ago and did a great job on that too.”
“Recently I had my newly purchased 2001 3/4 ton suburban 4x4 in for some noise when I had it in 4 wheel drive. Mike came highly recommended from my mechanic Terry G. Mike had it a couple of days chasing down the noise. Mike and his crew found several things wrong with the transfer case, rebuilt the entire unit for the price he gave me which was far less than every other shop gave me because all of them would have had to tear into it and only gave me a guess. Mike and I sealed the deal with a hand shake for a complete rebuild! BTW was way under everyone's guesstimate! Clean shop, good people! I highly recommend M.T. Schiele Transmissions!!!

“A&A Transmission was a life saver. I had an oil leak and needed to get my car towed from work. My dad recommended we go to A&A because it is his go to place and now I know why. They took me in the next day, diagnosed the issue behind the leak, ordered the part and fixed it, and also did an oil change at the same time. I was up and running the next business day.
