“I inherited my grandfathers Masonic items and wanted to have a place to display this collection and preserve it for years to come, so I searched the internet for ideas and options. I came across something close to what I was looking for on the Parkview Frame Gallery website, so I reached out via email and shared some photos of the items I had and the the reference photo from his gallery. The owner, Jason, and I corresponded back and forth until he had an idea of what I was looking for. I wanted a built in drawer to hold my grandfathers Masonic cuff links, tie tacks, and pins and a removable display stand to showcase some of my grandfathers medallions. I took some measurements, and a few days later, Jason sent me a hand drawn sketch to approve. I put down a deposit, and a few months later, my custom display case arrived. In addition to being easy to work with, Jason also packed and shipped this item carefully and precisely so that it wasn't damaged during transit. He also sent some plexiglass cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth, to make sure that I was using the right products to ensure that this display case stays pristine and beautiful for years to come. I couldn't be happier with the finished results.”

“Outstanding program! Although these people have disabilities, they have tons of talent in many different ways. Some people are intimated by people with disabilities as i was until I was blessed with the opportunity to really get to know Beth Hartley. I discovered something I didn't know or understand. They are PEOPLE and they have immense value to add to our understanding of diversity. They need us, to understand them and the joy returned to us cannot be put into words without experiencing personal interaction with them. Do not be afraid to love them.... They will love you in their own way.”

“I do not typically write reviews but Art and Frame Kansas City really impressed me! From the very start I was helped out by a friendly employee (forgetting her name but she was super awesome!) who guided me to take my digital piece of art to a print/frame. The whole process was very collaborative and professional. Alex then showed me the final product which looked better than I could have ever expected. I would trust them with any project!”

“My friend and I attended date night and we had so much fun. Date night was $100 total, ($50 each). The instructors were friendly and patient. We were able to create a piece each and paint it afterwards. They have more information available on their website. They have a small parking are right across the street, street parking is also available-both are free.”

“This was where I first got tattooed and it’s become my go-to studio. I’ve had work by 3 different artists here and all have been great experiences. I’ve had an ongoing project with Megan that we just completed, and a few other pieces from her. The work is stunning, and Megan is a creative and talented artist, who is also kind and fun. My work from Dani and Georgy are also some of my favorite pieces. The studio itself has a great atmosphere and is extremely professional and clean. Can’t wait to go back!”

“I LOVE this place. Two main reasons...1) all of the staff is super friendly and 2) when I wasn't quite sure what I was looking for (but had a general idea) the staff was friendly and answered all my questions as if I'd been a long time customer. Everyone there has a smile when you walk in. Super big assortment of whatever you need.Shout out to Adam. He's greeted me several times, is super chill and great interactions. Go here.”

“I always have a great experience there. The service is great and the finished product is, usually, better than expected. I really don't have a reason to go anywhere else for custom picture frames and I am not looking for one.”

“This was an amazing experience for my wife and I. All I can think of is "what am I going to do differently next time?" Only negative is that it is almost obnoxiously expensive.”

“This a fantastic, new, and locally owned gallery that has recently opened up in the burgeoning area around KU Med. A wonderful and intimate space that has an exquisite eye for art and artists of all mediums. Lee, the owner and attendant, is a wonderful ambassador for the arts bringing both warmth and knowledge to her gallery. To fans of art at any level, I strongly encourage you to go and check out this place early and often, as I'm sure it'll become an institution in the Kansas City artist community.”

“I really like the Box Gallery. They always have exceptional exhibits and It is Free and open from 8 am to 8 pm Mon-Fri and is located on the skywalk system downtown in the Commerce Arcade (near coffee kiosks, offices and restaurants like Charisse) and just a block from the Central Library. I wanted to Update my review to highlight the current show which ends Thursday January 25. It is really cool and worth a special trip to see! Susan Lordi Marker's "Echoes Of The Prairie: Works in Cloth" features beautiful textiles of silk, linen and cloth treated with mild acids and adorned with dyes and sometimes gold leaf that create a beautiful narrative of the light, colors and shadows that interplay in prairie ecosystems. Her passion and love for them and desire to raise awarness to their plight is inspiring. I especially love the storyboards that offer more information on the prairies and give you a chance to touch samples of all of the different fabrics and describe the artist's techniques. The exhibit is only open a few more days so get down there ASAP. Check out my pics below! #ericnielsenkc #boxgallery #susanlordimarker #kanzaprairie #missouriprairie #monarchwatch”

“Blue Gallery is a hug of inspiring, thoughtfully curated art and artists. I’m always finding pieces that continue to move me long after they’re placed in my home.I especially love December’s Wonderwall exhibition and their print shop if you’re looking for art on a budget. They also offer layaway, which I used once to purchase a larger piece. They truly care about making art accessible to all. The founder, Kelly, also represents several local and female artists, which I love.If you’re looking for art that will reflect your own beauty back to you, stop into Blue today.”

“What beautiful furniture and furnishings!!!!!!! I thought I knew what to expect when I walked through the door, but it was that and so much more!!!!! While my taste tends to run a bit more toward traditional, this showroom drew me in! Such intriguing pieces!!!!!!!! We’ve just recently downsized, so everything on my wish list couldn’t be fulfilled. I did, however, find THE lamp I’ve been needing all my life! The owner was very accommodating, and I enjoyed the simple opportunity to browse.”
