“We have been going here for our tire needs for years. This is the definition of a mom & pop place. No shiney sales floors and no big garages. You walk into the shop and tell Gene what you need. If they don't have it they will get it quickly. They mount and balance the tires then roll them out to your car on the lot and install them. They do tires and they do them well, you do not have to worry about them trying to upsell you on unecessary repairs, that's not their thing, they do tires.
When you go to L&M it feels like you are stepping back in time forty years. I mean that in the absolute best way. His business is about the customer, getting you what you need and back on the road. He is friendly and all of his workers a fast, professional and most importantly, competent.

What I appreciate most is the peace of mind they provide. I know my car is being maintained properly, and if something major needs attention, they'll explain it clearly and help me prioritize what needs to be addressed. I always leave feeling confident that my vehicle is in great shape.
It's also a huge bonus that they handle both mechanical repairs and tires. It's not easy to find a shop you can trust for both, and having everything under one roof makes taking care of my vehicles so much easier.

Could have charged me for balancing all the tires but instead came to talk to me about how bad the 2 front tires were, both needing almost 2 pounds of weights to balance even after rotating the tires on the wheel. “I had a service appointment at Walmart for new tires on FJ cruiser, it was a long wait, once on the road my FJ was shaking , I thought it was my vehicle, a friend said go to Phil Good tires and have Phil to check it out. Once arrived Phil diagnose the issue, said Nothing wrong with Vehicle they didn’t clean out the wheel wheels, all the crud and Old balance weights. Phil cleaned up the wheel wheels and balanced all four tires in my vehicle was running smooth like the first day I purchased it. I am so happy I made that decision to have Phil look at it. I didn’t want to deal with the long weight again with Walmart. I will recommend feel good service to anyone with WILL or TIRE issues or pacifically needing this new tires or wheels. Gave me a very reasonable price.”
“While on the way to the KC area from north central Idaho, it turned out I'd developed some tire issues. It was a Friday, so I knew I needed to act soon if I'm going to get it sorted in time to head home. I was lodged next door to the Platte City location, but they were slammed, so they referred me over to the Barry Road location.
When I got there, they immediately took a look, diagnosed the problem, found me a fantastic deal on tires, and got me booked in that day.
As a mechanic by trade, I could tell these guys were shooting straight with me. They got me such a great deal -- warranty and all -- that I went ahead and replaced all four, and that got me back home with zero worries.
These folks are a professional, friendly, efficient, and honest crew all around. I'll definitely go back to them in the future if I run into any more issues when in the KC area!

“Happened to be experiencing car trouble on Truman road. Jets was a couple blocks away. I had noticed the sign, pulled in. There was a gentleman sitting inside of the office area and another gentleman standing outside the building. He greeted me professionally and asked me if there's anything he could do. He listened to what I was saying about my car was doing and he said it could be a couple of things,he took the time to examine it looked at a couple other things that possibly could be. He diagnosed it, gave me a few totals as cost and I asked him would it be possible for me to go get the part and bring it to him and he said he would be closing soon but he would be more than happy to stay for a little bit if I could hurry I did so within 15 minutes of my return he had my car fixed and ready to go offered him the gratuity for his punctuality for his job well done and for his professionalism and he said no that's what he did I cannot tell you how important that is to me and how I will not recommend any other auto mechanic”
