This camp will ignore your child's request to leave. My daughter asked 3 days in a row for the camp to call us so she could leave and they refused. They withheld letters she was sending asking to leave. This is an awful camp with horrible policies.

About a year and a half ago, I went to this camp and another kid there punched me in the face. I know the counselors can’t control that but when my friend was screaming that I needed help because my braces were caught in my gum and bleeding, they got mad we had interrupted them and took a very long time to get to me and showed no interest in what my friend said. Then, when someone came by in a 4 wheeler to pick me up, she yelled at me. “We don’t have all night!” I had to get my sleeping bag, my clothes, my water bottle, and pack it all up before I could get in.The only reason there are 2 stars here and not 1 is because I did make some great friends at this camp. But I do not recommend anyone going here.

First of all I will say my kids had a great time there this summer, however, the animals there didn't. Very small cages, inadequate space and dirty environments. I felt for them. For someone that grew up on a farm and understands the responsibility that comes with animals they are falling short.

My daughter worked their very briefly. Her idea of animal husbandry/ care and cub creek were vastly different. My daughter has yet to recieve her compensation for her work. I am giving them one more week before obtaining counsel to sue for her pay and any attorney fees that arise.

This camp is absolutely terrible. They lie to their employees and treat them like kids. They told their new counselors that their phones would be locked up for 24 hours only, but instead decided to lock up their phones for 4 days leaving parents and friends worried. Do not work here. Do not attend this camp.

My children have gone to this camp for 3 years. They both love it. One of my kids loves animals and one loves the camp because of the other activities. One fall, they offered a family camp. My husband and I took the kids and got to experience it for ourselves. The food is great, the staff cares about the kids and the animals, and everything is well thought out. I am so glad that my kids and their friends have gotten to experience this camp. It is unusual, and a great place to challenge yourself and learn new things.

I think some things were outdated and no technology was a bit overkill (at least in the cabins cmon) but it was fun, be careful what you choose for your courses because you only have a week (I only did 1 week) and the 2 I did were boring, inside cabins were nice but felt small and they have a camp out which is really cold so go inside if you can, I only got 5 hours of sleep there, the cafe food is good, but not good good, it’s kinda like any food when it’s good and you’re hyped but then there’s something bad and you don’t eat again, that’s if the food wasn’t already out, hit the camp store a lot, I got loaded with 50$ and got like 4 water guns for my friends and we had an ongoing shootout which was fun, I woulda invited school friends if I could, but I didn’t know it’d be fun

Camp Administration was inflexible during COVID-19, refusing to refund or transfer amounts paid to next year. Further, they encouraged families to purchase insurance (for an added cost) that ultimately also denied any reimbursement related to COVID concerns.
