The overall experience with the car and service was positive, but I'm confused about the charging policy. The price on the receipt is 20% higher than what was stated in the confirmation letter. Additionally, I'm puzzled by the $15.99 fuel fee when I received the car with a full tank and returned it with a full tank. It seems unfair for customers to be charged for something unnecessary. Could you please clarify these discrepancies? Thank you.

Would not recommend. We rented and did not buy the extra insurance. We got a flat tire and called roadside assistance. The representative said we could either wait for them to come out and fix it which was going to take forever or we could pay to have the tire replaced. We were on a time crunch so we just decided to replace the tire ourselves out of pocket. When we returned the car and told them, the lady kept saying they wouldn't re-imburse us. I told her like 3 times that I wasn't asking for anyone to re-imburse us. Then she said that we were not allowed to replace the tire on our own even though that is exactly what the roadside assistance person told us we could do. The lady at the return counter said we would be charged extra for this. We paid out of pocket to have the tire replaced and will still get charged??? Don't rent from Avis!!

I wish I could give 0 stars. Google really needs to upgrade and allow -0 scores. The lady with the pink hair is RUDE & should not be in a customer service industry at ALL. I reserved a car from the app. Go to the counter and she didn’t even bother to try to help she said when did I book it I said about 30 minutes ago when my flight was cancelled. She stated the reservation would not show up for 2 hours as if Springfield, Missouri was out of cars or something. They had plenty and I’m certain as a presidents member of this janky company there was something she could have done but she was more invested to go outside to take a smoke break and leave the counter unattended. I stepped down to Alamo and was taken care of within 5 minutes. Avis gets worse and worse. After my company has used them for a corporate account for 10 years it’s time to make a switch.

the nice lady at the counter in Springfield Airport was awesome. She had all my paperwork ready, was very helpful with the questions I had and was professional and kind. The vehicle was really nice and clean. I was given a Toyota 4 Runner and it was awesome. Perfect for what I needed and pretty good on gas. The return process was just as easy. Very quick return and I was on my way to get to my flight. I also thought the price was reasonable, especially given the economy. pick up Wed at 1300 and returned Sat at 1100 - was less the $ 230.00.I have not had to rent a vehicle in over 20 years but if I ever need to rent again I will definitely check with Avis.Thank you so much for helping me on this little journey to come a long way away to see my nephew graduate from Army Basic Training!!

I rented at Springfield MO airport. The staff was super nice and accommodating. They seem to genuinely be glad to help me out. The car was clean and met my needs.I had NO issues.

Do not rent from this Avis, this certain Avis is a franchise and doesn't follow corporate policies, I arrived to the airport to be denied my rental by nate who clearly doesn't understand that my state issues paper licenses when yours gets stolen, so essentially I was denied a car with a vaild ID for my state. Then when I called customer service they were no help because this branch is a franchise, so I enjoyed being stranded at the airport by Avis. I know they don't care but they've lost a customer.

Very rude and worst experience ever. Didn’t get a refund for the car either. The old man was very disrespectful and making racist comments towards me and my daughter.

I have always used enterprise in the past, due to competitive pricing I chose to go with Avis this time. Dusty was so kind and helpful and displayed outstanding customer service. Between customer service and a brand new nice rental with only 700 miles on it, it made it much easier on us after being in an accident and missing our car. Thank you Avis for the great experience in a time of need.
