Springfield USPS is horrible! I have been trying to get issues resolved with not receiving my mail for over a year. There was a temporary fix that lasted no more than two weeks but now I’m being punished because of a situation my neighbor caused that I have no control over. It is costing me time and money. Springfield USPS is a joke!

Leaves packages in mailbox that are too large for box damaging 3 separate items.

Not really sure why there are tons of negative reviews about any particular location. These locations are here to help you with packages that were unable to be delivered. I have a lot of these as I require my merchandise to be signed for. I don't necessarily love having to go to the Bennett location to pick up my mail but the people there are nice and they do the job I'm asking them to do. James is someone who always has a smile on his face, and always knows exactly where my package is.
Big thanks to everyone at the Bennett location. I appreciate each of you.

I’ve lived at the Greens for a year now and keep dealing with mail that never gets put in the correct parcel box, packages get marked as delivered but we never receive them. Mail gets smashed and bent in our box, I’ve addressed these issue in person TWICE and they go unresolved. I had a license plate I left on a vehicle I sold mailed to me and I never received it. I’ve had incoming packages returned to sender before i could pickup because the mail person marked it as I had moved for some reason. I’ve gotten messages from multiple people on Facebook saying they found my mail in their parcel box. One mail piece was a letter from my work that I never received. It’s completely unacceptable. I had a package marked as delivered that I never received and after 4 months of playing phone tag with usps I was finally mailed a claim packet just for it to be rejected because it’s past the time frame so I couldn’t get my money back. Do better.

They should close this to customers. Never a good experience. I get it's for pickup. Drop box was broke or locked this last time I stopped to drop a package. Thing the buzzer was broke as well.

Worse place ever. They never answer the phone. Then when you finally go up there they are absolutely unless and not helpful at all they just stand there and look at you like your crazy and send you about your day. What a joke :)

Called the number on the phone, waited for the "operator" and no one ever answered the phone. Tried throughout the day. Couldn't get my question answered. Lousy service if someone needs to get through.

ANSWER YOUR PHONE!!!I ordered live baby chicks and I NEEDED to speak with someone THERE. I called every day for TWO STUPID WEEKS with no answer each time- that's absurd!

One particular person I’d like to thank for helping me out when she had no reason to, is Melba. I came right at closing with an urgent predicament, and she was kind enough to devote several minutes of her time off the clock to helping me out. I recognize how difficult of a job working for the postal service can be and it would be an immediate priority to head straight home after a long day, but still, she was generous enough to help a stranger out. Much appreciation to Melba, and to her superiors, give her a raise or promotion! She deserves it.

This post office needs some serious management. We have filed several complaints that only temporally resolve the issue that we are having with our carrier not delivering to our business. As we were told, the carrier has a combined commercial residential account. Commercial mail is to be delivered first, since they cut that off at 5pm, then the carrier is to deliver to residential. However, our carrier puts businesses second on the list. I would assume they do this, knowing that there is a cutoff time for businesses. Get the residential done, then no time to deliver to a business. Along with checks and documents not showing up, we will have a package arrive in Springfield and once marked as out for delivery, it can be days or more than a week before we see anything. I've tried to call this office several times and no one picks up the phone. I am so fed up with their service that I think I am going to set up a PO box and have our mail forwarded there. Do better, USPS!
