“I went there today because I recently bought a Flag casing/preserver on marketplace. Little did I know I wasn't only purchasing a flag keeper for my Father's flag which served in the US Navy and continued in the Army National Guard for many years. Well this case held a Soldiers Flag. I called the National Cemetery. And they did not accept flags. They advised I contacted one of the Legions. So wanting to put this Soldiers Flag in caring hands. I went to this Legion Post. I was highly impressed with everything there. The aura the atmosphere was just on point. I asked for Melissa and was met by an officer of the Legion. I wish I remembered his name. He made me feel so comfortable turning this Soldiers Flag over. He told me they have a Ceremony for the Honor of this Soldiers Flag. I am so highly impressed. Leaving with tears of sorrow/happiness and relief that this Soldiers Flag will be honored. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

“Nice cozy room. Only issue was the bathroom had a little mild/mildew starting up way at the top above the door. Idk if they'd even had a chance to notice. This is an issue very easy to occur and easy to miss. I didn't even notice until I was about to leave.”

“We took me and my husband our daughter her boyfriend and my three grandchildren we got wrists we got wristbands for awful five children they were expensive but they got their money's worth out of and we were there 6 1/2 hours everybody had a good time we saw the show which was a monster truck they loved it he went to the eclipse they loved it they rode all the rides and love them the only thing that I could say about it that's not so great was the prices it was very expensive it was over $200 just for the wristbands but I know that they would be expensive the truck show was close to that much and then of course we had to pay for parking for two cars and we had to pay for everybody to get in it was a very expensive trip but it's something that we've been doing every year for several years but we only do it once a year and our children deserved to have that much fun and it was a great time everybody had fun so it was worth the money”

“Reserved for thanksgiving the whole day and it was well equipped with chairs blue tooth speaker a tv plenty of tables very clean and spacious and the company was very easy to work with I highly recommended any one needing a venue… the space allowed us to have an amazing time with our family”

The food was great. The people were nice. A family of 4 to eat only cost $34. Prices were cheaper than what the menu shows.

“Hotel Vanderbilt (Hotel V) in Springfield is hands down one of our favorite places to stay — and honestly, one of our favorite places to be. From the moment you walk in, the lighting alone deserves its own shoutout. It’s bright, warm, and intentional — the kind of lighting that makes everything look good and makes it an absolute dream for vlogging and content creation. If you’re someone who films, photographs, or just appreciates beautiful spaces, this place delivers every single time.

The rooms are always spotless. Like, impressively clean. Every stay feels fresh, comfortable, and thoughtfully done. And the views? So good. You get that perfect mix of city energy and calm, which makes mornings slow and cozy and nights feel exciting.

One of the biggest perks is the location. You can literally walk to everything. Restaurants, nightlife, coffee, entertainment — it’s all right there. My husband and I make it a point to frequent Hotel V because it’s just easy, fun, and consistently excellent. It’s our go-to for date nights and nights out when we want to feel like we actually got away without leaving town.

Now let’s talk about the food and drinks — do not sleep on their menu. It may be small, but it’s intentional, fresh, and so well done. The drinks are unique, the food is creative, and everything tastes like it was made with care. You can tell quality matters here. One of my favorite things about Hotel V is how much they support local farmers and work to incorporate local ingredients into their offerings. That commitment to local businesses and community really shows, and it makes the experience even better.

Between the atmosphere, the cleanliness, the walkability, the food, the drinks, and the overall vibe, Hotel Vanderbilt earns a 10 out of 10 from us every single time. It’s classy without being stuffy, fun without being chaotic, and welcoming in a way that keeps us coming back again and again. Truly our favorite spot in Springfield for date night, nightlife, and a little escape.

“Mega friendly staff at the front desk! Very handy and convenient market in the lobby. Well appointed bathroom and kitchen. I could crank down the A/C as much as I wanted. Bed was very comfy. Immediate area isn’t perfect but I’d stay here again.”
