Storage unit process is Super easy. Absolutely Love the 24/7 access. Actually have units in 2 different states just because of the 24/7 access.The St. Joseph location could di some work on the potholes and pavement tho. I had to creep super slow in thr UHaul van to try to prevent damaging my items on the long drive uphill to row N. At this location everyone enters/exits from the same gate then drives all the way to the bottom of the hill. Then you have to circle the bottom and creep all the way to the top teying not to damage your items in your vehicle. The unit I have in Mississippi has 2 entrances that also double as exits. But they have a sensor for exiting so you dont have to enter your code to leave. This is something else I don't like about this location. Having to enter my code again to leave.Price is right tho and easy to set up to rent.

Obtaining the rental was easy. Opening the storage space had problems. The door was heavy and would not stay open and this was dangerous.We are lucky no one was hurt. The driveways need repair bad.

The unit was filthy. There were no locks in the kiosk area. Also the kiosk did not take my order but I got a confirmation email. So I had to spend 20 or more minutes on the phone to get it worked out. I had a unit there about 4 years ago and the unit was clean, you actually had someone to help you on the premises. My wife and I have a climate controlled one also and the hallway has not been swept since our move in. It’s just not the same as we had a few years ago. Usually a business gets better with time but not yours. Last time I will use this business!! Unfortunately I’d already moved my stuff in the climate controlled or I would have went somewhere else due to the dirtiness of the inside of the units.

*This is a review of service, not unit*I was very new to looking for a storage unit and Red Dot Storage was very helpful. They allowed me a reservation for 7 days so I could think about my options. Their call center was very quick and easy compared to others. They were also very informative and efficient! Not a waste of your time to go ahead and give them a call!!

The lock on our storage was removed and replaced with another and nobody seems to want to answer the phones. Stay Away from this place.

Supposedly 24 hour surveillance but I didn't get a call saying my unit had been ripped open and everything you could carry was stolen. Think surveillance should have seen that. We didn't even have the unit 2 months and everything we have is gone. We were in between places staying with family and thought It's gated storage with 24 hour surveillance so somewhat safe. They probably give everyone the same code. We called on the Saturday that we went and found out unit was robbed as no one was on site, and got an answering service that said nobody we could talk to till Monday, but file a police report. Call police they say file a report online no need for an officer if robbery isn't in progress. So we have filed police report and insurance claim, still not a message or call from red dot storage. Great customer service guys! I'm sure we are not going to get one either. DO NOT GO HERE if you want to keep your belongings.

It closes now at 7pm. I get off work at 5. Take a shower and I might have an hour to do whatever I need to do. The light above my unit has been out since I started renting it. I've reported it about 3 months ago. I need to shop around for a different facility
