Very friendly staff. However their sausages, in particular the knackwurst and the weißwurst, I found to be anything but authentic.

Great shop but mind the hours as it’s not accurate. They had everything put away 30 mins before the close which was a bummer for our visitors.

One St. Louis' finest establishments of any kind. Their products and selection are vastly superior to the competition. The cold beer certainly doesn't hurt either. You won't be disappointed.

Poor customer service on a problem with an online order. I purchased a 10 pack of the pre-seal Maple beef online at the end of February, 2024. They date on the package showed a "use date by 01/25." In early May, I noticed that at least five of the 10 packages had mold on them. Upon notifying the company, they politely replaced the 5 packages which came with a "use date of 3/25 date on them. This week, I noticed three (3) of the five packages had mold on them. The customer service person tried to convince me that this was fat content and not mold. I sent additional picture showing that is was mold and she responded that there appear to be an issue with the Maple beef sticks. Based on the fact that 8 out the 15 packages I had received were not consumable due to the mold, I requested a full refund because I have lost confidence in this product. I was told that a 50% credit could be provided and a full refund was not warranted. G&W has lost a customer for life as I will never purchase anything else from them or recommend them to anyone. What a poor customer service decision!!

It is unfair that you still have Gerhard and Bob Wanninger as Owners, this changed many Month ago, they stood for Quality and and sure Customers where happy, that all changed and so did the Quality after Scott quit

I had a wonderful experience in store today. I’m no foreigner to Bavarian Cuisine, and so after venturing into this shop I was quite pleased. The selection was fantastic. I haven’t had leberkäse in YEARS and got some today. It’s delectable! Service was top notch. A line formed after me and despite that fact, I still wasn’t rushed as I asked questions and ordered. Thank you for the hospitality! Prost!

They don’t have the German products like they used to. No German pickles or sempf [mustard in tubes] A lot of Bosnian products? THOUGHT THIS WAS German shop. Used to get tar tar at Christmas no problem. N ow they say only at certain times. This place has totally changed.

"Want a beer?" How can you not love a place that offers you a beer when you enter the store?They were putting things away at the end of the day, but said to ask if there was anything I wanted. I asked for Leberkase. They brought a fresh made batch and sliced it perfectly. The brats were awesome. And I could live on their Landjaeger, one flavor for each day of the week.
