What kind of airport location doesnt have overnight dropoff?! Hertz customer service says there is an overnight drop-off. After being on the phone for 30 minutes they told me to drop the car at Superpark #3 and write my drop-off time on my rental jacket. There is a whole line of people on the shoulder waiting to drop out cars off.

Excellent service in St Louis! The staff was friendly, courteous and very helpful. We drove a brand new Nissan Rogue, great vehicle for a great price. The Gold Member experience is top- notch!

Don’t rent at St. Louis airport. Waited 52 minutes for bus then the return gate opened late with terrible customer service agent and bus driver. This is my first negative post for car rentals in 30 years - that should tell you how frustrating this rental was.

I am a Gold Plus member and have rented from Hertz on other trips. I've previously had no issues. So, when I needed a minivan for a personal vacation, I thought of Hertz. However, what I learned is that the Hertz lot is definitely not customer friendly for local customers. There is no place to get dropped off at. We ended up at the hotel next door and then had to walk around the fence and walk in the Returns gate. I found my name on the board, but no minivans to pick from. If I wanted an SUV or a Jeep there were plenty of those to pick from. I ended up waiting for 2 hrs while they cleaned up one that had just come in. Granted a received an email the day before saying the vehicle I reserved would be ready for me. Once it was finally cleaned I went to the check-out booth. Since the vehicle was wet all over, I didn't notice the ding on the windshield until I pulled away from the booth. I stopped and the lady said you can't back-up. Go to Returns. I go to Returns, tell the returns person I'm not returning it, I just need a new pre-rental inspection form. But she immediately creates an Incident Report which says I was responsible for the damage and that I have to go to the desk to get another vehicle. The person at the counter says there are no other minivans available. I asked for the manager. He comes out and was very pleasant and says he'll give me a new pre-rental inspection for the windshield damage and said I could keep the minivan if I didn't mind the ding. After leaving I discovered that some of the jacks on the dashboard weren't working. Not wanting to go back, I stopped at an auto supply store on my way out of town and bought a new fuse. Halfway through my trip I get an email about the Incident Report. I called Hertz. I was asked to send a copy of the pre-rental inspection form and an explanation. Then, upon my return I was surprised that I got charged an additional $92 for satellite radio. I know I didn't reserve a minivan with satellite radio. Apparently it was in my online profile preferences. Whew! What a headache.

If I could read it zero stars I would. The employees were rude, and after four days, I was able to get in touch with somebody in executive management and they weren’t much help. The president circle is not the president circle the president circle is only if you spend X amount of dollars.

Very subpar checkout experience at the rental gate. They were not properly staffed to handle the vehicles, and ended up waiting in line for about 20 minutes to exit the rental gate. UPDATE: your reply directing me to go to the generic customer service site was not helpful. What am I supposed to do on that site for you to address my concerns?

Returned the car completely full of fuel, filled up 1 exit away. Charged $26.72 for fuel. I topped off with 3.86 gallons for my entire trip 5 minutes before returning the car. Told we were checked in good, fuel good, no damage. Complete scam to charge for fuel they didn't put in the car.

Giving it two stars because they dont have any overnight drop offs, and dont open until 4am. We almost missed our 6am flight and were rushed, after we gave ourselves enough time and got to Hertz at 3am.... we waited in a line of cars outside gate for an hour because everyone else was just as surprised....
Enterprise was open at that time, so we will not be renting from here again....

I have rented from here several times, here are some notes. No signage on where to get picked up. You have to go to the top of the parking ramp and wait there, again with no signs. I had to ask a rival car company's shuttle driver for assistance. Thankfully they helped me otherwise I might still be wandering around the airport. Second, I am a gold member. A few days prior to my rental Hertz sent me an email to complete my reservation. I filled it out on their mobile app and it said, you are good to go just look for your name on the screen and pick your car. When I got there my name was not on the screen so I had to go into the office. When I told the agent what I did she told me that by filling out the information on the app it removes me from the screen outside. Not sure how that makes sense. I literally showed her the app on my phone saying to pick any car I wanted but she insisted it wouldn't work. Definitely need to get your information straight there. Otherwise, the car was clean, worked great.

Would leave 0 stars if it would let me. Entire experience was awful. Çharged for things I should of never been charged was told I would pay $377 with a $200 deposit instead they charged $900 and a $200 deposit that they are fighting me to keep.

Hertz, please come up with better signage on how to get to the Hertz pickup location at Lambert Field. At least 3 other parties along with us at the same time were unsure where to go bc there is NO clear signage. Thank you Avis driver for helping us—perhaps Hertz should try harder!

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Never Renting from Hertz Again
We went to the Hertz office in San Luis to exchange our vehicle, as staff in Tulsa had assured us we could upgrade to the car category we originally paid for. Instead, we were met with shockingly rude behavior: the employees in San Luis yelled at us repeatedly, treated us with complete disrespect, and when we finally gave up and agreed to keep the car, one staff member deliberately made the situation worse by pretending not to understand us — even though it was obvious they did. They even tried to prevent us from leaving.
We paid for a Mustang and were given a much lower category vehicle. This wasn’t just poor service — it felt like outright mistreatment and deception. I will never rent from Hertz again and will be filing complaints through every available channel. What happened was absolutely unacceptable.

Terrible Experience – Never Again!
We went to Hertz in San Luis to try and exchange our car, and the staff there were unbelievably rude, yelling at us the entire time. In Tulsa, Hertz had told us we could come here to swap for the car level we actually paid for. Instead, the employees in San Luis shouted at us, treated us with complete disrespect, and when we finally gave up and said we would just keep the car, one staff member made our lives miserable on purpose, pretending not to understand us even though everyone clearly did. They even tried to prevent us from leaving!
This was pure mistreatment and feels like outright theft — we paid for a Mustang and were given a terrible car instead. I will never rent from this company again, and I will be filing complaints everywhere possible. Absolutely unacceptable.

Horrible experience. Customer service is useless. Existing reservation and now being told no cars available.

There is no heart sign of where to pick you up at the airport
