We're a medical bankruptcy family who owns our home free and clear (and have been FIB customers for decades) and have consistent income but were still denied a loan due to having bad credit from the medical bankruptcy. Was told FIB used to take medical bankruptcy into consideration, but doesn't anymore. Been dealing with this hell since 2002, and it just seems you can never out run the sin of having a medical problem decimate your credit :-(.

Usually, I have enjoyed banking with First Interstate ... but lately, it appears there are continually "outages" to online banking.
All day, they've been updating their system. It's Monday. You couldn't have done this over the weekend? We haven't been able to access our account for 2 days!
It's becoming more and more "inconvenient" to bank here. Any questions to a purchase now can't be handled by your local branch. You've gotta call their "claims" depth. That shuts off your card, and you have to WAIT for your new card. They'll immediately give you a temp card, and you wait a bit for the new card. That's a LOT of systems and bill pays we're continually having to switch to the new card. There has to be a better system.

I just found out that a rude bank employee that did not want me to get my refund back to my account & not spouse to do that but did anyway and hope she lose her job because she did the wrong thing .Cory Thomes

The absolute worst customer service I’ve ever experienced, rudest staff, and worst banking system. Don’t bank here. And absolutely don’t deal with the Great Falls location if you can avoid it.
