Sage Lodge is an absolutely incredible place, a beautiful and relaxing lodge set in the most stunning landscape with breathtaking views of the Yellowstone River, rolling hills, and snow-capped mountains. The property features stunning lodge architecture with warm timber and stone details and massive windows framing the incredible scenery. The atmosphere is incredible and warm, making guests feel right at home.
The staff is the best, exceptionally friendly, attentive, professional, warm, and incredibly accommodating. They go above and beyond, anticipate needs, and provide heartfelt service that makes every experience feel special. Guests can enjoy fantastic dining in both restaurant settings, with delicious meals, a really nice selection, and a warm atmosphere. The food is incredible, outstanding, and beyond delicious, with dishes like Bison Bolognese and Mushroom Gnocchi noted as highlights. The Fireside Room offers elevated family dining, while The Grill provides a more refined, special-occasion experience.
Activities enrich a stay, with a fantastic spa offering luxurious treatments and fun classes like wood burning, leather stamping, and a highly recommended mixology class. The natural beauty, with sunsets and wildlife sightings, provides a perfect Montana backdrop. While very good experiences are the norm, attention to all details is valued. I have been here a couple times now and have been pretty satisfied, but I have to say I was disappointed in the Wagyu Burger as it was over cooked to dry, and not something I would expect of any Wagyu item. The Mushroom Burger I had previously was juicier. Other than this the rest was very nice.
