I was really surprised by the food. We went for a big birthday brunch. The food was OK but nothing great. I liked the concept of the curried corn beef hash but, it was exceedingly greasy with the potatoes essentially swimming in oil. The biscuit wasn't really a biscuit. It was just a cake like type of bread. The mimosa was quite nice. It was curious that, despite being less than half full, the service was slow. This was not my first trip to the Sage Lodge but something has changed.

We loved this restaurant. I would recommend the Bison ribeye, food was amazing and the staff was great, and the view made it all worth it.

For a hotel restaurant, it was decent. But being local, it's not somewhere that I would run back to. Food was good. Our server was very good, although they were short staffed. Mimosas, although bottomless, weren't great (not sure I have ever had a bad mimosa but these were mostly all orange juice). Wines by the glass weren't great for such a high end resort but perhaps they wanted you to buy the bottle? Felt the menu was pretty basic - which maybe because it is a hotel and services families, needed to be but feel we could get just as good a breakfast elsewhere with better cocktail options.

So disappointed. From beginning to end, a major let down. Had a reservation, had to wait at least 30 minutes. Offered drinks to compensate for wait, which was nice. Ambience once seated, very poor, large plan round wood table much too large for 2 couples. Nothing on table, candle, salt/pepper, very awkward. Super slow to be greeted by waitress. No bread or anything offered. Small water glasses, no ice, had to ask to have water as we waited for nearly an hour for food. High end menu, but absolutely no service. Took a very long time to get bill. Terribly disappointed. The place has so much potential. Maybe the head person quit the day before and all the staff didnt show up. Strange.

Food is decidedly mediocre and service was very slow - given what we paid for dinner both should be way better. Cocktails, wine, ambiance are all fantastic. And you can't beat the view.

We absolutely love sage lodge! We come in every once in a while from Bozeman to enjoy the spa and restaurant and it never disappoints! From the ambiance to the staff, this place is perfect. Thank you all for your hard work - we love having you so close by!

We include the Fireside Room whenever we're in the area. The view no matter the season or time of day; the ambiance and Montana casual atmosphere, the amazing / exceptional food, service and value all align for us. Whether we're passing through after a day of hiking, biking or skiing, or celebrating a special occasion, Sage Lodge and the Fireside Room make our trip memorable.

We were greeted by the nicest team. Our service was exceptional. Chelly and her teammates were excellent throughout our dinner. Polite, engaged and competent. We visited with a newer employee, dad to brand new baby, Opal. I'm sorry I didn't catch his name. Such a nice guy. Thank you for having our family for this special Thanksgiving together.

As the owner of Forever West Weddings & Events, a wedding planning & event design company, I have stayed in many luxury properties in both Wyoming and Montana. After my stay at Sage Lodge, I can confidently say that I highly recommend Sage Lodge to any engaged couple. The rooms are well appointed, the staff are friendly, actually helpful, and knowledgable about the area. The food in both restaurants is delicious. For a group of 120, a full buyout is a perfect option. Your reception in the lobby will be absolutely magical.Rooms: From the moment you step into your room, you will be impressed. Upon your arrival, they have music playing and low lights on - no stepping into a dark, cold room at sage. The mugs for coffee and tea are great, the bathtubs are wonderful, and every room has a fireplace.

Absolutely stunning property. We arrived 1 hour before our reservation and took a stroll on one of their trails to Story Ranch Rock and took some great pictures. The food was great; we had brunch (Corned beef, artichoke eggs Benedict, and kids frenchtoast). The service was lights out. Our waitress catered to her clientele surprising the little man with a special cherry lemonade and extra whipped cream and toppings for his desert. Can't find many places that hit home runs in all areas. Great staff, great food, and an amazing property. I will be back.

My stay at Sage Lodge was an absolute dream come true. The location couldn't have been more perfect - surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of paradise valley, it was a truly magical setting. The staff at Sage Lodge were absolutely impeccable. From the moment we arrived until we left, their warmth and professionalism made our stay exceptional. They went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay was perfect, and their attention to our needs was truly remarkable. I can't thank the Sage Lodge team enough for making our weekend unforgettable. If you're looking for a stunning location and a staff that will make you feel like royalty, Sage Lodge is the place to be. Highly recommended!

This is a must if in Bozeman, Livingston, Pray, or Gradnier MT. When you walk in the main lodge hall is warm and inviting. Fire roaring open windows to a beautiful mountain sky atop smaller lodges. Good was beyond delicious, don't pass on dessert- chocolate crème Brulé. It's a must, date night dinner experience.
