“My family and I have been parish members from day 1. (50 years). While the church was being built masses were held in the gym at Sandoz Elementary next door....Archbishop Sheehan ordered a new parish for Southwest Omaha because Mary Our Queen wasn't large enough to handle everyone anymore. Father Pat (McCaslin)was the second priest after Father Schwab retired. Father Pat, since retired has been our "family priest" ever since his days at St. Therese's in NE Omaha. The parish closed about 10 years ago. We would sometimes have family masses in my grandparents home. Family members could just walk in their home.....Even Father Pat just walked in. Just an FYI.....Mass times have changed. Weekday masses are still at 9 am. Weekend masses are a 5:30 pm vigil on Saturday's, 7:30 and 10:30 am on Sunday's.....”

“My aunt's memorial mass was held here last Saturday. The priest did a wonderful job tailoring the service to my aunt. The church also hung a memorial cross with her name on it in the church, which they give to the family after one year.”

“With the approval of the local Archbishop, St Thomas Moore's 4:30 PM mass on Sunday afternoon (confession from 4-4:25) satisfies Subday obligation.
This is great for those who work weekend days, have been traveling, or whose kids have morning ball tournaments. It is also great for Military reservists or National Guard troops.”

“Great fish fry! Line is inside the building. No outside drinks allowed. There are beer, wine and spritzers for sale throughout the line. Food options include fried or baked fish, Mac & cheese, coleslaw, fries, and bread. Plenty of tarter sauce, vinegar, ketchup, and other sauces available. The breading on the fried fish is a corn meal breading and was super good! I am craving it as I write! However, some of my pieces were pretty crisp because the fish was too think or overcooked. Most of the group had pretty good fish thickness though. One of us got the baked fish and she did like it. The mac and cheese and coleslaw were both really good too! Overall a great meal! It was $14 and they only take cash.”
