We have been camping around Lake Mac for quite a few years but Eagle Canyon Hideway was above and beyond our expectations! They had clean bathrooms, no bugs, emptied trash cans daily! We had four camper trailers and two tents in our group, 12 of us with no complaints! The pool, basketball hoop and playground were a hit with the kids! We felt safe enough to let the kids go there by themselves and they even made friends for the weekend! Yeah, it’s not close enough to walk to the lake, but a drive to the lake is not much more than 5 miles. (Through Vans)

We rented the lily pad cabin and I have to say it was well equipped with dishes, pans, all the utensils and bedding also towels. We had our own bathroom w/shower. It had A/C. It was very nice. It is in a ok location due to only you have to drive about half an hour to get to lake McConaughy and the beaches. If they had more easy access to the lake it would be a great spot. It’s quiet. It’s a nice place to get away to. Not a long drive for us only 2 1/2 hours maybe 3. This has been our 2nd visit. We stayed also in the smaller cabins on our first trip which is very basic. They include beds and A/C nothing else. Still very nice little cabins. There is a small general store with just about everything you could possibly need. A bit pricey but it’s what’s expected if you forget anything.

Best campgrounds we have stayed at! I only wish there was closer access to a swim beach. BUT, with that said, it was worth the short drive to the lake. Highly recommend!!

Always very welcoming and helpful! Thanks for keeping us informed and safe during the storm. Campsites and Bathrooms are always kept up on and clean. We have such an awesome time when we are there. Hope to see you all for many years to come!

By far one of the best experiences! The owners allowed us to shelter in their store basement during the tornado warning and helped us with rides due to car issues. The cabin itself was perfect, equipped with everything we might need. We will definitely be back again!

I am only 4 starring the rooms only because we reserved the Moose Cabin and we could have had better water pressure for the shower. Other than that the AC was awesome and the cabin was just right for my entire family. I felt awful for all the hail damage and hope that gets fixed soon.

A beautiful, well-maintained park in a beautiful location overlooking Lake McConaughy, with mature trees, lush grass, and large spaces. The owners go the extra mile for you. A great place for a family getaway with the lake nearby, a pool and slide, playground, basketball, cabins, and they recycle!!! There are eight bathroom/shower/sink private rooms in the bathhouse and a coin-operated laundry. And a store! Really one of the nicer parks we've been to. The only negative was the road to get there. The owners give great directions because of GPS unreliability, but the fact is the last 5 or so miles are, first, on a very badly bumpy paved road, and then, a very bumpy gravel road. We could not go safely with our truck and fifth wheel more than 10-15 MPH. Considering the golf club and many, large, expensive-looking properties we passed, it's a shame the those responsible for the roads cannot find the resources to correct this deficiency. I wouldn't let it stop you, and we'd camp there again, but not a plus. We camped at Eagle Canyon Hideaway in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped here for 2 nights. It's early in the season so we were pretty much there with a few seasonal. Very clean, well kept. Lucas & Myranda were very friendly & helpful. We had a great time relaxing here. the 1.5 mile drive down the gravel road to the camp is a little adventurous but do-able. We're from Florida and don't have many hills so it was much different for us. They have all size cabins to rent which are awesome, clean & cozy! Bathhouse was very clean, hot showers. Great place & on site staff
