“My family and I have been parish members from day 1. (50 years). While the church was being built masses were held in the gym at Sandoz Elementary next door....Archbishop Sheehan ordered a new parish for Southwest Omaha because Mary Our Queen wasn't large enough to handle everyone anymore. Father Pat (McCaslin)was the second priest after Father Schwab retired. Father Pat, since retired has been our "family priest" ever since his days at St. Therese's in NE Omaha. The parish closed about 10 years ago. We would sometimes have family masses in my grandparents home. Family members could just walk in their home.....Even Father Pat just walked in. Just an FYI.....Mass times have changed. Weekday masses are still at 9 am. Weekend masses are a 5:30 pm vigil on Saturday's, 7:30 and 10:30 am on Sunday's.....”

“As a Catholic not from around here, I was full of trepidation going to a new church thinking I might not fit in or my local practices aren't reflected here, but I was wrong. This church is very warm and accepting, and I feel at ease attending here. I always visit every Sunday at their 5:30 pm mass, and it's always worth the drive.”
“Fr. Dave came to our church, St Stephen in Riverview Florida, for our Lenten Mission. He was wonderful in explaining how Jesus takes, blesses, breaks, and gives. I'm glad he enjoyed the warm weather and warm welcome from our parish and we enjoyed having him. I doubt I will ever come to this church but I hope everyone who can gets to hear Fr. Dave.”
“Father Matya is a wonderful priest. Heartfelt and educational sermons, adds a sense of humor, genuinely cares for each member of the congregation. He makes an effort to get to know everybody.”
“Considering we were there for a funeral it was as nice as possible. The church is old style & that is cool. Pastor was very good and the church ladies were very helpful and put on a nice lunch afterwards.”
“My forever church. Have been attending for years and everyone is so friendly and kind. I have been serving for two years and love it. Always feel included and they have so many events for everyone.”

“This church has a food pantry.. Mon- Fri.. Call up there they will get you in that day and if you don't have ID don't worry, it's not needed here.. The ladies are so nice”
“We absolutely love this parish. A Mass is fairly similar wherever you go, but the thing that separates a good one from a "meh" one is the Homily. In all my years of going to church, I truly have enjoyed listening to three Priests: Fr Pat McCaslin who has now retired, Fr Carl Salanitro, and now Fr Jeff at St Charles. The congregation hangs on literally every word. I find myself nodding (and I'm not one of those people) when he speaks because his message is always so insightful and he's able to draw comparisons to every day life. He also doesn't take himself too seriously as some Catholic priests tend to do and often makes humorous and light-hearted comments. If you feel like going to Mass is a chore rather than an uplifting experience, give Fr Jeff a try you won't be disappointed.”
