“I found it. I found my favorite bookstore in the country.I’ve been to hundreds of bookstores as an avid traveler. I was in Lincoln for two days and had to pop into Bluestem. The inventory is unbelievable. Beautiful editions of all your favorite novels, a truly impressive collection of historical non-fiction and military related non-fiction. A great nature and outdoor section with some interesting rare, oddball titles, and a very under appreciated section on Indian histories. The most mind boggling part: it’s incredibly affordable. All bookstores should strive to be Blue Stem. My brother and I walked out with nearly more than we could carry. I rank it #1 in the nation just above John King in Detroit.Can’t wait to be back!”

“When I entered I was greeted very kindly. The man recommended me some amazing books and explained how the store is organized. I got 6 books and most of them were hardcovers/ story collections and they came out to 30 bucks. Which is very cheap considering the quality of the books. 10/10 would come again.”

“A spacious neighborhood coffee shop and bookstore. The coffee is amazing and they have unique flavors like lavender and rose syrups. I liked that the kids section has a small activity table and bean bag chair for my toddler to play and read. The back of the space has ample tables and a couch for anyone wanting to work or read. I had a rose latte and spent 45 mins relaxing and reading in the bright, airy space.”

“The bookstore is big and has so much useful stuff for your college experience. Obviously the books are essential and they pay them out well. Prices aren't actually usually that crazy, nothing compared to what people made me think college books would cost. They have dorm items to help keep you organized, entertained and at home in your new on campus home. Plus they have all the husker gear you could need to fit in. For book orders I would recommend ordering online and just picking up so you know you have the right materials. I love shopping in the bookstore!”

“The cutest bookstore! Every corner you turn has a surprise! There are so many categories! My favorite was a category of old books. Each one was beautiful, and colorful! If you want a book with heartfelt notes from previous owners, highlights, and doodles, the old books section is for you! This place is a book lover's dream! And everything is very reasonably priced. They also have gift shop type items like postcards, erasers, sketchbooks ect. I was able to find a birthday gift for my sister here while shopping for books! One stop shop for gifts!Also worth mentioning, if you are allergic to cats, be aware that there are two in the shop. When we were visiting, they were friendly but mostly kept to themselves or napped. If you wanted to shop but avoid the cats, I think you'd be able to do so just fine. If you're a cat lover like me, they are the sweetest kitties and a delight to visit!”
